Prince Charles thought he was awful too.

Whats the alternative? - I would take Elizabeth, Charles, William, or George everytime over President Boris.

There are several types of presidential systems.

But at the moment you get Liz/Chaz/Wills plus a Boris in charge.

I'd rather have an elected head of state. The argument of "do you want Blair/ as president" (and for some reason, it's usually Blair that gets trotted out by the people I talk to) ignore the fact that someone like Blair (or any other examples that are usually given) just wouldn't be popular enough with the general public to actually win. If people want William as head of state, elect him.

Failing that I'd just not bother with a head of state at all. No monarchy, no president, I'd be happy with that as an alternative

I don't understand what the difference between having a president or a prime minister would actually mean in practice, and day to day. It's not like the Queen / royal family actually does anything regarding the running of the country in any meaningful way - expect when they're trying to do something in their own interest behind closed doors. If they actually had power wouldn't they just enact the changes on topics they keep going on about - like on climate change - rather than just doing these activities that raise funds/awareness, which seems to be their main function?

Yes bit you could have that position filled by someone who didn't get it based on their birth, could also be someone who could represent the UK abroad and be respected unlike the prime minister. Also wouldn't have a massive extended family staying in huge houses on large swathes of land.

I'd add my own commentary but I'm (failing) to write an essay write now. This is basically what I'd want from an elected head of state:

Wouldn't take long for the Tories to get one of their own in there

I'm sure President Francois would be impartial.

If I'm elected President I promise I will immediately make D&D the official religion of the UK.
I will mandate that all schools teach it for 1 hour a day.

What policies do you propose that will make the economy boom as much as forcing everyone to play D&D daily?
The UK will become the envy of the world again.

I think the mandatory consumption of at least 4 cups of tea per day would have a more positive effect (especially when paired with custard creams).

Custard Creams are the beige of biscuits. They're a waste of ingredients.

To be fair the monarchy's been bending over backwards to protect Paedo Andy.

To be fair they should make a version with 2x the filing as the regular ones can be a bit underwhelming - they're much better if you bite a biscuit layer off two of them, and then place them together so you have two filings together.
