As per the Predict 2020 thread, this is the place to make some predictions of how the world will be in 2024.

Wildcard

For the US President, points will be awarded for guessing the winning party, the President and the VP. Similar for the UK election, you can get a point for the party and a point for the PM.

The other categories are more open ended, try not to be too vague! Saying things like "the Tories make cuts", "a new iPhone is released" or "lots of famous people will die" is not going to get you points. Be more specific!

The more vague categories don't have to be events that actually happen in 2024 itself, just events between now and the end of 2024.

I'll make a note to bump this in January 2025 and I'll score you on how well/badly you've done. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 (as long as we get a lot of entries!).

Biden probably doesn't want to run again, he's ancient and Harris will be the obvious heir apparent. America loathes an heir, though, so it's likely that there'll be another long primary season.

No reason, other than I would hope that Brexit will finally clue people in to the nationally destructive, self-serving corruption of the Tories at long last.

Once Elizabeth II hits her next, probably final jubilee in 2022 (IIRC), and when she loses Philip, I think she'll throw in the towel, even if she hates the idea of Charles as King. He'll be using whatever non-Charlesian moniker he's settled on because he doesn't want to be associated with the one that was beheaded in the civil war.
