I agree on some points, but you have to remember that they had to cut Season 3 short due to the writers strike.

If the rumours/spoilers are to be believed, Lechero was supposed to be working for The Company, the same goes for a couple more people in the prison (the youngster who escapes was another one I think)

This season seems better so far, they seem to have a plan for how they are going to end series & they know there won't be a strike this time round...give it a chance, the rest of the season might just surprise you.

Of course some of it is unbelievable, the show has always been like that. It's part of the charm and why I enjoy it so much. Any word on there being a 'flashback' type episode this series (sort of like the one from Season 1 which shown how the inmates arrived at Fox River) which could show the events of the 3 weeks between the series. Think that would be good, would be interesting to see how Sucre and Bellick became so close among other things.

Just watching the first episode of season 4 - now Prison Break has never been the height of great writing, but this status quo establishing is poorly written at best. Awful upto this point. I'll continue watching to see if they can do something new with the premise of the show (season 2 was suprisingly good when they changed the context of the show) but I hope the writing picks up after episode 1.

I am so hoping this is true. I hope we get to see how Sona got burnt down. If this doesn't happen, this is some of the worst writing I have seen in a program and that includes Eastenders! Like Sarge said, I will give it time but so far I am so disapointed

It burnt down because of a riot, I'm pretty sure it said that in the first episode. Or is it that you just want to see some carnage? Don't blame you ;)

More carnage, dammit! 8-)

I just hate the fact loads of stuff got skipped with a few lines of dialogue

Well I'm fully caught up with PB now, (see the USTV thread for my impressions on S3).
Anyway on with the start to the new series, totally bullshit, I think sums it up nicely. Can someone please tell me why they've decided to turn it into 24? I mean for strawberry float sake they've even got a lovely big conference room table and 24 HASN'T EVEN BEEN THAT GOOD SINCE S4.
So much gooseberry fool happened at the start of this that they may as well have gone and made a new tv show because seriously, this is not Prison Break anymore. I mean the massive production values and acting (Michaels increasingly annoying loud whisper voice aside) are enough to carry it through and keep it entertaining, but every time they ramp up the ludicrous meter it just loses more and more credibility, it's painful to watch at times. Like the whole card stealing thing, first they have this totally ridiculous device, then they lose it in this house which is supposedly impossible to break into (yet a minute later they're doing it, go figure) oh and by the way, did we ever get an explanation of why it didn't work first time. All stupid stuff like this does is just beg questions as to why they don't do other stuff and riddles the show with plot holes. So yeah they lose it, but why don't they just get a warrant to search the house, sure they don't want 'the company' (eurgh) to know what they're doing but with a bunch of nobody cops and a case of mistaken identity would easily solve that.

I'll probably still keep watching, if only to see how much of a train wreck it becomes, but really after this start there's no way this series can be as good any of the other 3 and it's not even fit to have the same title as S1.

I'm a bit shocked at the negative reaction from to many people to the new series. I've loved it so far. It's not been as good as season 1, but then I don't think any season has been or would be. Season 1 was perfectly paced and perfectly executed.

Oh and people talking about this season not being believable. When has Prison Break ever been particularly believable? There's always too many handy coincidences for something like this to be totally plausible, but you have to suspend your disbelief somewhat for it to be enjoyable.

Anyway thanks for keeping up updated with the episodes Sarge, it's much appreciated.

Dominic Purcell's acting is beyond appalling in this season.

There's a reason why it's called still Prison Break. FOX were worried that if they changed the name of the show each season (like they had been planning to...Season 2 was going to be called Manhunt) people wouldn't realise it was actually Prison Break but with a different name. :|

Also has Lincoln just forgotten about his son and that woman, after all the hassle they went through to get him back neither him nor Michael seem particularly bothered about how they'll manage on their own in Panama :?

Presumably they'll deal with it with a couple of phone calls between them throughout the season, it's a strawberry floating disgrace.

I hate it when shows just decide to hit the reset button, with absolutely no regard for their fans.

3rd ep was quite entertaining. They really should change the name of the show, though. It's like 24 mixed with Alias.
