The collection as a whole is just really pleasing to have since it's brought so many fantastic memories and connected me with a lot of very good people.

If I had to pick one, it would be this Charizard - I discovered it in my parent's attic a few years ago, more or less totally unprotected, because when I got it as a kid I didn't really know how significant it was or anything. Basically in 2002 they reprinted the original set of cards and introduced these reverse holofoils for the first time ever, so this is like... one of the rarest and most desirable Charizard cards that exists. Last time I checked this condition on eBay it had sold for £350 but if it was marginally better (there are some scratches and light marks to it, a consequence of me being a young kid when I first owned it) you could multiply that by 10 easily.

I don't collect Pokemon cards anymore, but i do still have one of these...

Back in the day, my then penpal sent me an issue of Corocoro comics, and it was included as a free gift.

I'm not sure about mine but I know that Ella's is her charmander plush I gave to her when she was 5. His name is Doppy and she still loves it to death. She's had other plush pokemon toys but Doppy is her number 1. She doesn't play with him much anymore but still likes knowing where he is.

My drums. They’ll be with me until my last breath - hopefully gigging.
Actually that would be pretty traumatic for everyone there. Never mind.

Probably my signed Preachers. Not sure, to be honest. I have a whole mess of collectables but I don't know which I would keep over all others...

They're over there, by their theremin.

I have a watch my dad bought me for getting my degree. I left school with no qualifications so it's a nice reminder of that achievement.

Other than that probably my phone.

I'd say my prized possession is an engraved Tiffany & Co Swiss army knife my wife gave me for my 30th from our trip to New York. The regular Victorinox I'd had on my keyring for about fifteen years was showing its age, so it was a really special but also useful gift. It has got a bit scuffed etc over the years because it's in my pocket but it was bought to be used.

When I was a kid I'd never use colouring books or sticker books (sticker albums excepted) because I didn't want to not have the stickers anymore or not be able to colour the page again. But then what was the point of having the nice thing if you're not going to use it?

I may be wrong about this but lots of Tiffany items have lifetime guarantees so you may be able to get it repaired and cleaned from one of the UK stores if you ever feel the need to.

My understanding is that he doesn't post more often specifically because of dumb comments like this.

As if being "PC", which literally just means "not a bigot", is a bad thing. Christ!

We’re about 3 posts away from rants about “wokeness” and “virtue signalling”. :dread:

The only thing I can think of is my GCSE C in Resistant Materials. I hated the subject and only did it because you had to take one technology class, I suffered through 2 years of an arsehole teacher telling me every week that I was going to fail the subject as I wasn't working hard enough and despite a promising practical project my coursework wasn't up to scratch.

A C is my weakest GCSE grade but it's the one I'm most proud of as I just had to prove him wrong and saw it as sending him one last 'strawberry float you!'. banana split had the nerve to whisper in my ear at the GCSE presentation night 'I got you through that exam'.

Come on man, I miss Taf too but there is a middle ground between actively finding reasons to be offended and being a bigot.

I don't think there is anyone on this forum who could be classed as a bigot, but having said that, the vast majority of us are also nowhere near as politically correct as Taf was.

He was generally a nice member to talk to, but he did have quite the reputation for being ott when it came to social issues and the like.

I'd still like to see him return though.
