Everyone has something they like to splash out on so what's yours?

Mine is the most expensive Kindle you can buy on Amazon.
Yep, I'm the proud owner of an all new Kindle Oasis 32GB with 4g. I know what you're all thinking and yes, life doesn't get any better than this and yes I do have to fight off the ladies with a stick when they see my mightiest of Kindles.

Apart from sentimental things like my wedding ring, I think my most prized possession is my Switch. I would've said my PC but it's getting a bit old and tired now so I don't love it as much. My Switch goes everywhere with me like a comfort blanket.

I have a few things I really like but nothing of particular significance.

Sounds daft but probably the candy cane Christmas tree decoration I got from Tiffany in New York. It was ridiculously expensive for what it is, but I strawberry floating love Christmas. We said after about a month together, if we make it to 5 years we'll go to New York for Christmas. And we did. So it's a symbol of progression, from growing up poor and hopeless, to being in a successful relationship where we can go to New York and buy pointless tat for the namesake because strawberry float it, we can.

My prized possession is a cheap plastic storage tub near my desk, it contains my entire autograph collection and is also packed with F1 memorabilia.

Sounds bigheaded, but I kept one of the bound copies of my PhD thesis and it sits on a shelf underneath my coffee table. Reminds me of all the work I put in for very little tangible reward.

I've got an old book on Roman Britain that was owned by the late professor and author Sheppard Frere (big name if you like Roman archaeology), and it has all his handwritten notes in the margins. I found it on a secondhand book stall and it cost me £5.

Besides this, probably an antique East India Company flintlock pistol that belonged to a friend of my gran's. He left it to me when he died.

I guess probably my phone or my Switch. Tbh I'm not really strongly attached to any object. Got a little paper swan for doing a big favour for a girl I knew once which is quite special to me.

Some of my Pokemon cards are worth hundreds each, so any of the collector value cards or cards with a particularly significant run of tournament results fall into this bracket. The collection as a whole is just really pleasing to have since it's brought so many fantastic memories and connected me with a lot of very good people.

If I had to pick one, it would be this Charizard - I discovered it in my parent's attic a few years ago, more or less totally unprotected, because when I got it as a kid I didn't really know how significant it was or anything. Basically in 2002 they reprinted the original set of cards and introduced these reverse holofoils for the first time ever, so this is like... one of the rarest and most desirable Charizard cards that exists. Last time I checked this condition on eBay it had sold for £350 but if it was marginally better (there are some scratches and light marks to it, a consequence of me being a young kid when I first owned it) you could multiply that by 10 easily.

One item i forgot about until just now also, is my passport.

Without that, i would never have been able to climb the eiffel tower which was one of the coolest things i've ever done.

This Pound Puppy (his name is pound puppy, original I know!) I had others but he was always my favourite and the only toy I kept from my childhood, wherever in the world I have been he has been with me, if the house caught on fire he is the first thing I would save, I don’t know exactly how long I have had him but it’s certainly over 30 years, also that particular Union Flag is also special, it’s been attached to my bike as a child, my backpack at school and then it was sewn onto my suitcase for my first trips abroad without my parents and now like Pound Puppy it goes everywhere with me

Holy gooseberry fool. I had a black one of these that's probably in my parents house somewhere. I strawberry floatin loves that dug. Not as much as Big Ted who was given to me when I was born and still sits on a chair in my room only because his head falls off too much to actually sleep with me.

You need to save him from his storage life, I don’t the certificate thing anymore but I am sure it said something like “I promise to care for this puppy” I had a larger one that had velcro on its stomach and you opened it to find a load load of little puppies inside

I do have some things I am very fond of but I don't know if I have a prized possession of sorts.

All our expensive electronics are covered by home insurance so while I'd obviously be gutted if my PC or telly got nicked or destroyed it's more the data I'd lose that I'd miss (yes I should back up!) If anything I'd get a better PC with the money now

I'd say my prized possession is an engraved Tiffany & Co Swiss army knife my wife gave me for my 30th from our trip to New York. The regular Victorinox I'd had on my keyring for about fifteen years was showing its age, so it was a really special but also useful gift. It has got a bit scuffed etc over the years because it's in my pocket but it was bought to be used.

When I was a kid I'd never use colouring books or sticker books (sticker albums excepted) because I didn't want to not have the stickers anymore or not be able to colour the page again. But then what was the point of having the nice thing if you're not going to use it?

Probably my running medals as I worked so hard for each one and they all represent an achievement in my running life
