I had no idea this existed. Is it just a class about you being told that some things are harder than others?
Steel is harder than sand but less strong than unobtanium?
As far as I was aware Technology GCSE has a number of different "flavours" so to speak. You can do resistant materials (so basically woodwork), electronics, textiles, and I
think food technology. My (all boys) school only had woodwork labs so resistant materials it was for us!
There's also Graphic Design, which is what I did.
There you go, knew I'd got one of them wrong. It depends so much on what you have in your school, both in terms of kit and staff. If none of your teachers can draw, sew, cook or solder, you aren't doing most of those subjects!
When I was doing biology A-Level almost everyone in our class wanted to be a doctor, dentist, or other healthcare professional. Nobody wanted to be a botanist, but the college had the ecology textbooks so that was what we did as the option, and off we strawberry floated to Slapton Lea to throw plastic squares about! Be pointless learning about bacteria and viruses anyway, never gonna use that in real life...
