Mines probably by book of memories of my Mum. I think I’ve posted about it before but I’ve got an atrocious memory already at 29 so I’ve started to document all kinds of memories I’ve got of my Mum so I don’t forget things going forward.

I can never spend too long filling it in as it’s obviously an emotional experience so I’m only about 25 pages in currently, but I’m so glad I started to do it.

I have quite a few old/rare boardgames and wargames boxes/books, several of which have all or most of their card components still unpunched or are in great condition.

One of my most cherished possessions is a converted Abaddon the Despoiler mini from 40k my dad used to use as his HQ in every single game. My dad is still around but we stopped playing 40k a few years ago. I realised it was taking up far too much of my time so I just donated all my models to charity :fp:

and put it away. I kept 2 models: Abaddon and an Eldar Scout model from 1st Edition 40k that was my favourite from my old army. I keep it in my shoebox of memories together with loads of old correspondance from Uni, letters, birthday cards, curios and mementos. That would be the first thing I saved in a fire after my family.

I'd also add my old Joe 90 briefcase which is home to my complete collection of Mini Boglins including the full set given away free with Kelloggs Frosties in 1994. The kids have expressed an interest but the Joe 90 case is getting buried with me.

I dont have a particular single possession really but Ill never part with my Lego, I will likely pass it on to my kids someday but even then Ill make sure they dont just lose it everywhere and gooseberry fool. Im also quite proud of my viedogame collection, its not massive or in perfect condiditon (context thread) but I still have every game I owned. With digital purchases becoming more and more a part of gaming I cant see it growing much bigger so its nice to still have the physical copies around, even if theyre currently tucked away in the attic.

I wear a steel washer on a silver necklace, the washer taken from where it was left out in my Grandad's garage/workshop when he passed away a couple of years ago. I have other sentimental things but this is my most treasured, and it's the only one with me almost all of the time.

In terms of both expensive and prized, it's probably the boring vidoegame console answer, probably one of my handhelds :lol:

Most things sentimental are relatively cheap or actually worthless!

I suppose the sensible answer is my camera gear, but I don’t there’s anything, even that, which I would miss that much if I had to get rid of it.

Maybe I need nicer things.

I have a watch my dad gave me on my 21st, and a watch and cufflinks of my granddad's that my family gave me when he died. Everything else is probably replaceable, although I should do better data backups.

The PhD is a massive strawberry float you to her really. Especially because I had already finished it when I found out about having ADHD, which explains the concentration thing. :lol:

This is a recent one, a resin Armorcast Warhound titan for 40k. In the early 90s a small handful of essentially garage companies produced a licensed range of upscaled Epic vehicles/walkers, only for a few years and only originally for sale in the US. They normally sell for a decent amount but found this for a really good price.

I'm pretty certain I've got a Magic the Gathering Black Lotus card that I got in an original set years ago. Supposedly worth thousands. Only issue is, I can't find the strawberry floating thing. :fp:

You have to be quite specific about printings and conditions but if they're in decent nick now is an excellent time to sell! the market has exploded in the last 9 months or so, a lot of big rollers are moving into the hobby and demand has shot through the roof
