I'm surprised by that, BTB. I haven't played this beta but I have played a lot of online PES over the past few years and I have found the gameplay to be pretty slick. Do you normally play FIFA? I'm not saying this to instigate another FIFA / PES battle, only to suggest that, if you're used to that game, than the different styling of PES may not suit your tastes. I'm so ingrained with PES that I'd no doubt feel the same way if I tried a FIFA demo. Diff'rent strokes and all that!

The reaction time between pressing a button on the controller to the action being carried out on the pitch seemed way off. It may have been because it was online, but it just made the whole experience very frustrating. Played 4 games and it seemed to happen in all of them.
Have other people found this? Were the last PES games similar?

sawyerpip wrote:. I think the delay some people have talked about is just where they are used to FIFA where the ball tends to ping as soon as you hit the button. On PES it's not always instantaneous depending on the position and movement of your player. It's something you learn to judge naturally and so those of us who have played last year's edition probably don't notice.

Lad at work says he really likes the beta. I can't wait to try it.
