This looks awesome! If this is a year old I can't wait to see how it's looking now, and does that mean there's a chance it could come out this year?

Glad to hear (I presume) this isn't an E3 video thats been leaked early. Would ruin E3 if it was.

It's either been leaked as a pre-emptive strike because there's nothing at E3, or because Sony wanted it to leak as a way of teasing what it looked like then, so at E3 it can say "this is what it looks like NOW".

I wonder if it has any links to the previous games? The other 2 were, albeit rather tenuous. The main character looks like Ico's younger brother, and I swear they've used that font for the 1st Ico game.

I'd hardly call it tenuous. Especially given the ending of Colossus. Tonally it looks similar already - thematically, it'll cover fairly similar ground, too.

It does look a little rough but the animation on the creature is something else. I hope this is an intended leak to lead on to a fully tarted up E3 demo otherwise Sony's presentation is going to fall a little flat. Looks really interesting and definitely worth a purchase.

Lovely looking stuff.

I hope the big friendly monster thing doesn't die or get left all alone at the end...

...it's going to be sad again isn't it? :(

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I don't say this enough but I love you Chris.

When I played through Ico and Shadow, the game really tugged at your emotions from the off. How two games did this with so little narrative shows just how incredible the design was. Watching that trailer I got the same sort of emotional feeling, without even playing the game!!

does anyone else think that maybe, through the course of the game, you might kinda, grow up, with the beast? It looks like a young kid, and the beast looks like its some kind of young beast itself or something, i mean it doesnt look adult. That would be amazing, a whole game set around their lives, seeing them grow up together, its the natural evolution of wanderer/Agros relationship i guess

I could see that happening. Maybe getting separated for a number of years and then being reunited in an uneasy situation, where you are in conflict with the beast until you both realise who one another is?

Impressive stuff. It looks like they put Ico and SOTC into a blender and then made a game out of the results.

I always knew that Ico and SOTC were based just off the Irish coast too, so it's nice to finally see it confirmed.

I appear to have wandered into the "huge big thread of overreaction" :o

Are you lot going gaga over this vid-which is a decent indication of the direction they are going but hardly mind-blowing in terms of actual game content-because of the vid itself, or because of the Developer's previous pedigree? No doubt it's a bit of both but I see nothing astounding in this vid to get me all that excited.

Oh and Suzz. if this is your "Sony will own E3" evidence I'll have to kill you for getting me hyped!

I've heard on the grapevine that this footage is about a year old and that this is an intentional leak, the real E3 trailer is going to be lots better.

Man, I rolled my eyes so hard at the chain turning out to be restraints on a "monster" I probably did some damage to my peepers. Thankfully, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. The video suggests an interesting gameplay mechanic.

But if this is the game that owns E3 for Sony then colour me disappointed.

You are dead to me :x

 Ah, don't be like that! I'm sure it'll rock your boat and will be up there with their previous two games. I just want something truly amazing to be announced... and I doubt any one game will own E3 for me.

It looks good. Very good art direction and animation, as you would expect from this studio.

I know the producer on it 8-)

Typical. Something like this turns up when I'm stuck at work, where Im innexplicably incable of playing videos. :x

Still, based on the reactions in here, colour me excited. If I didn't already have a PS3, a new Ico game would be a game I'd buy one for.
