have you ever come across a protagonist in book, film, video games, tv etc that you just could not stand? were you able to make it through the whole story or did you give up on it? tell us the who and why

A protagonist doesn't have to be a good guy.

GoT doesn't really have one I guess as it's more of an ensemble and very few main characters made it until the end. But Joffrey was certainly a main character who the plot revolves around.

Being a major character doesn’t make him a protagonist. He is very clearly an antagonist.
