PS3 randomly changing channels by itself?

I recently acquired a PS3, and sometimes it changes inputs back to input 1, the default input for tv and stuff. It's not the TV's fault as I remember it doing it a couple of times on my old tv.
It's not very often, so i'm wondering if it's some sort of preference setting on the PS3 I can change, or something else?

What have you connected it to the tv with? Scart? The cable could be knackered. What's the TV? Is there an automatic input selector option?

The old TV was scart, the new tv is with an HDMI, the tv is a sony kdl26s3000.
The strangest thing is it can change to the tv input when the cable box isn't even switched on. I've tried googling it but nobody else seems to be having the problem.

Maybe someone in your house has a universal remote and is playing tricks on you?
