Regardless if fake or not it's a fantastic trailer. Seeing that appear on TV as a teenager would have melted my mind. It's melting my mind now!

Plus, fuuuu, a Tron-inspired console? Shutup and take my money

Like something you'd expect from Sony 10-15 years ago, maybe. Very PlayStation/early PS2.

All these futuristic looking consoles with LEDs everywhere always turn out to be fake/fan mock-ups though.

It is brilliant however.

Looks gorgeous, I wouldn't mind that at all, matches the whole "PS4 is the new Jesus console/has already won the next gen" vibe....... However Nintendo done the whole sleek LED scheme a generation ago.

Looks fake and gooseberry fool. The blue light being constantly on would be very distraction, if the USB slots are an indication, the thing is strawberry floating MASSIVE, and the Sony branding is far too large, which is a common issue with fan-made mockups.

Found this picture on the Playstation forums which pretty much proves it's fake.

Not only are they too thin and wide, but they aren't even aligned properly.

It isn't with Sky+, and that moves. Constantly.

Did they buy the computers from CSI: New York with its all magnificent clear zoom-in function?

Fake? More than likely. To call it gooseberry fool? No way. It's a combination of the Apple TV box and a Wii, what's not to like. And for arguments sake, who's to say that light stripe would be permanently on? Could work in the same context as a Wii when you get a notification of some kind.

I remember waking up to see the whole bedroom was glowing blue.

I thought it was an alien invasion until I saw the wii probing the room.

Of course, it was switched off afterwards. Not feeling comfortable as I could feel Reggie staring at me.

That just reminds me of people on here being "woken up at night" by the pulsating blue light on the Wii.

There's some close up shots just after the 20 second mark.

Sony logo is too big, 'PS4' logo should be centralised too.

Microsoft should just sit the next generation out. There's not much point them turning up to this fight.

That's one of the mock ups that turned up around the time they announced PS4, so no.

Don't mind that at all with all the action on screen it'll hardly be a distraction, it's a bit too Wii like though
But if sony want to make their own mark with the use of the LEDs on it's console, with something more subtle, I think they should simply put their name (in its famous font) on lights on the front.

Don't know if they still do it, but their televisions used to do this. The Sony logo lit up on the bezel.

I used to have a Sony TV that did that. Luckily there was an option to turn it off.
