Would someone be so kind as to direct towards an easy to use and effective external hard drive for my PS4. Under £100 would be lovely.

I recommend an external hard drive.

Same model has cheaper options, if you don’t feel you need as much as 5TB.

Some dreadful reviews for that. Think I might go for the officially licenced 2tb one.

95% of 19,000 reviews gave it four or five stars, and I’ve had one that has worked flawlessly for five years. But sure, if you want to pay £5 extra to have a PS logo on the front, you go for it.

I've bought 3 separate (2TB, 3TB, 5TB) Seagate Expansion external HDD's since 2017. All are still perfectly fine and never had an issue. These are still connected to my PS4, PS4 Pro and Xbox Series X (was previously connected to my Xbox One). No need for official licenced one at all.

For a different viewpoint, my 4TB Seagate drive has failed twice and both times I've lost all my data. Wouldn't buy again.

I've had plenty of different Seagate drives both internal and external and never had any fail. Usually if there's official logos on stuff it's slower rubbisher stuff because they know people will panic and buy stuff with logo's on even if it's worse.

Love that they offer an "installation service" for £59.29. Nearly £60 to plug in a strawberry floating USB cable.

You also get a 3 year warranty with Seagate, straight forward to return as replacement and free.

Mine did fail after 2 years, using on PS4 wasn't that bothered just hassle of redownloading stuff since saves were on PS plus / internal.
