I did, they said they'd contact Sony for me and would have done the same thing, would rather cut out the middle man.

Did you ask for an immediate replacement per the Sale of Goods Act?

Only played through Journey once but it was a wonderful experience that I would love to play again on PS4

Mines does the exact same, not sure what to do either as when it's plugged directly into the wall 99% of the time I have no issues.

Update on this, my PS4 started spitting out the disc during Wolfenstein so I gave Sony a call. I was an hour waiting to get through and then when I got the labels via email from them I noticed they had spelt my address wrong and I was another hour on to them :fp:

I'd rather get it fixed/replaced now while it's under warranty, just hope it's back in time for TLOU.

Don't hold your breath dude. Took them 3 weeks to get mine back to me when the HD failed.

When mine died I got a replacement 48 hours after my phone call.

Another weird thing, when I exit out of dead nation, the OS goes really slow. In my fact my OS is noticeably quite slow right now, don't know why.

I'm on holiday beginning of August so I'll wait until I get back before calling Sony. Last night it was OK when playing inFamous but clearly there is a problem with the drive, but I wonder if it can be fixed by an update.

Yes?

Before you do; I had this problem for ages and solved it; put something under the PS4.

Basically, the Eject button goes under the ps4 a little, it touches the table. The PS4 can mistake this for the button being pressed.

What I did was put pieces of cardboard under each of the four corners of the console, so its raised about a centimeter up from the table.

Peter Crisp, rejoice!

PS4 will play 3D Blu Rays next week.

Sony will bring 3D Blu-Ray support to PlayStation 4 next week in a new system update, the company has announced.

Despite a number of recent updates, this will be the first time that Sony has added new functionality to the console since its firmware revision back in April. That was the update that brought ShareFactory to the console, among other bits and pieces.

The news comes just days after Microsoft announced 3D Blu-Ray support for Xbox One. Slated to arrive in the console's August update, those in the current dashboard preview programme already have access to the feature.

Microsoft has been updating its console with new features every month after early adopters complained at the console's somewhat vanilla launch offering. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that regular updates will continue and that the company has a roadmap of features planned for release each month until at least October.

Now TV has arrived now too. I downloaded the app last night. Going to set up an account today and see how it goes. The no-contract thing is a big plus in my book, and it seems to have some great content - box sets that I want, such as Sopranos and Six Feet Under, both of which I was going to buy and which would cost me well over year's worth of Now TV anyway.

Just hope the streaming is as good as Netflix, and I'll be more than happy.

Not sure - but I will check tonight and get back to you. I've just paid up for a month, so will confirm later on. :)

Grand! Looking forward to having another streaming app on my PS4, but realistically Now TV possibly doesn't have it. Anything that's not iplayer or Netflix seems don't have any basic subtitles.

Would be good if it does.

I had Now TV on the 360. The streaming quality was poor in comparison to Netflix, it doesn't do anything higher than 720p and could barely manage that most of the time even though al my other streaming services work fine. The selection is just basically what's available already on demand on Sky Movies and Sky Go. I found Netflix with Unblock US much better value.

Ah, ok. I'll see how it looks this evening.

The selection of shows suits me - I'd probably only get the Entertainment pass, though I have taken the month's free trial of Movies.

I don't have Sky elsewhere, so the doubling up of content is not really an issue - I'm happy with what's on offer, but if, as you say, the streaming is gooseberry fool, I'll leave it.

Yeah!

Why it took them so long when they were part of the team who made 3D blue ray I have no idea but better late than never I suppose.

I may finally get round to watching The Desolation of Smaug I've had Since it came out.

I like Now Tv, been using the Entertainment Pass for the last 6 months. It's crap for Live TV but watching on demand is great. Getting to watch the latest tv shows without having to mess around with torrents is worth he £4.99 a month to me.

What exactly is NOW TV then? Is it better or worse than netflix? Or is it different?
