Going to Canada on Saturday for a couple of weeks. Thinking of picking up a PS4 there.
Anyone else imported from America/Canada?
I think I don't need a step down transformer (unlike the GameCube I imported), and other than having to put it into the mains via an adapter and potential warranty annoyances, I reckon the £100 I'll save is worth it.
Yeah?

Don't forget that the Sale of Goods Act rests on the very debatable requirement of reasonableness. You could argue that your goods, specifically the PS4, should last for more than two years.

Yeah?

Judging by the posts in here, I wouldn't say so.

The other day, I asked for a link to the analogue stick nubby things, and a link was posted and I ordered them. Did a thank the poster of said link??

If not thanks.

With the failure rate of PS4 they should do what Microsoft did and give out a three year warranty, the system is so poorly built.

No it's not!

When people are dicks, you can throw a massive tantrum and kick off about it. I have railed against fanboyism and the endless pixel count/frame rate debates that were clogging up otherwise decent threads, and I may be imagining it, or it may be because I've got Hugo on ignore, or it may because jawafour is ace, but the forum has felt like a better place in the past few months.

Buff: this is a link that helps explain it in reader-friendly terms.

I'm not sure if I should send my dual shock 4 back. Theres nowt wrong with the analogue sticks, but the L1 and R1 really do stick, its getting on my nerves. And my console has a bit of the plastic coming out at the back, and is incredibly loud, and currently will not let me access netflix.

The thing is most places just won't want to know. This EU guarantee has been around for ages, and when my PS3 died just after a year, Comet (thankfully now gone for good) flat out refused to replace no matter what EU rules you spit at them. Hopefully attitudes will change and this will become the norm because a single year for a £350+ product is just ridiculous.

I managed to get my PS3 replaced for £20 from someone on e-bay who'd taken out Sony's no fuss replacement policy that let you return unlimited consoles. If I hadn't I probably would have just stuck to PC gaming from then on.

I would love a PS4 with a wooden cover :o .

Not a decal but a full on wooden console.

A release date and price for the PS4 version haven't been announced yet, Denster.

EDIT: The release date may be a way off; it's rumoured to be a Morpheus VR game.
