Actually Glowy, if I remember correctly you like God of War and although Knack is good rather than evil, some if the fighting mechanics are similar.

Yes?

Get Resogun. Best next gen game.

Resogun really is mint.

Also get MGS Ground Zeroes now it's about a tenner or something. (If you've not played it before, obvs.)

Sadly, I'd struggle to recommend much beyond those. I loved Ass Creed Black Flag, but it really was just a shiny last-gen game. With new next-gen-only Ass Creed coming out soon, I'd wait for that if you're interested in them.

I also quite enjoy Zen Pinball, but that might just be me. And it's not exactly a next-gen experience.

Strider and New & Tasty are both fantastic.

Started Shadowfall.

Oh my god, the beginning of the game

I don't care about spoiling this because it's so bad

- Kid's dad dies
- Immediately asks "what's going to happen to me", no grieving or anything
- Bland soldier guy says "Oh gooseberry fool, guess you're coming with me", doesn't even console the kid

Who wrote this dialogue in this game?

Why did the dad even exist? He didn't say or do anything of importance, and they didn't try and build a relationship at all, compared to say the last of us.

Loved Killzone Shadow Fall  Good one.

Looking up the Metro review they said it's more of the same but with prettier graphics.

In Short: Cleverly progressive one moment and tediously predictable the next, next gen Killzone has all the same strengths and flaws as the older games – just now with even better graphics.

Pros: Great graphics and some interesting ideas, particularly the more open world style levels. Multiplayer seems promising, with some excellent maps and custom game modes.

Cons: Extremely uneven story campaign, with ineffective set pieces and a curious lack of enemies. Boring plot and characters. The OWL is underused and the weapons uninspired.

Score: 7/10

Yes you can look up my thoughts on the game in the relevant thread since you can't seem to comprehend someone liking something you don't.

Apologies. I was just kidding.

You said it was the best SP FPS in a while and think it's the best KZ. I hadn't played a FPS all the way through in a while before KZ SF and I found it tediously average. So yeah, each to their own.

Spectacular.

As someone who never played it on PS3, I'm looking forward to this a lot.

ShadowFall is the most average game I have ever played. Apart from the graphics.

Gunplay: get owl to fire at enemy, shoot them while distracted, repeat.

And the ammmount of times this game spawns in enemies behind you, or in situations where you have no immediate cover is annoying.

All it does is make me really want a Crysis Collection on current gen =[

PS4 is pretty ignorant isn't it? Starts automatically downloading a 2GB pach for Killzone. So I cancel it, then a minute later it starts again. only way to stop it is o disconnect from the internet, since you can't pause downloads.

I've never had that happen when I delete a patch download. It doesn't redownload it until the next time it's turned on.

Ignorant console  I like that.

Isn't there an option to stop auto updates somewhere in settings?

Yeah. But I want them to download over night. Just not when I'm going to be playing online. And the console doesn't even pause them when you play online like the PS3 does.

Can you not set it to check for updates at a specific time like on PS3?

They really need to tweek a lot of stuff with the UI and make it faster too, a lot of it feels like a step back from the XMB
