Kojima would be one hell of a signature to get on the Nintendo books and would get some of his fans interested in Nintendo platforms again. That said, I think it's unlikely but an Eternal Darkness game with Kojima's eye for realism and using some of the ideas from Silent Hills would be a dream come true.

I've always liked the Silent Hill series and was super excited for this, so disappointed with the news. As for Konami, other than MGS they've never really jibed with me personally, but would be a loss to the industry as a whole.

Oh an remember, even if you don't have a PS4 you can still add PT to your PSN account in case you ever do!

The prospect of PT was one of the only things that interested me about the new gen.

When was Silent Hills planned for release? Surely there's no way Konami would the pull the plug on something that had generated so much hype unless there wasn't a plug to pull?

You would think, but then again this is Konami, a company that one time announced a game's release date a week after it had been released.

So happy they won't be getting my money for MGS V.

SEGA were pretty good last gen.

Konami are not leaving gaming they'll continue to develop PES in their UK studio and Metal Gear will continue from their LA studio and that is all they'll be sadly.

If that's all their gaming side is going to be then surely they'd be open to selling it if they got a halfway decent offer. Square to take most of the company and Take 2 to buy PES?

Or... Nintendo to buy them out, gaing MGS and Silent Hills as exclusives and then grab that elusive Football game that they need!

So apparently, I've heard you can't redownload this even if it was in your D/L history and been downloaded before. Basically, if it's not on your system now, it never will be...

Isn't the PT demo tied to your account and not the console though?

It is, but knowing Konami, they could have pulled the entire game off the servers.

If it's not there, you can't download it.

Sony would be the only possible platform partner.

Kojima's games have never sold well well on Xbox/Nintendo.

Kojima is synonymous with PlayStation.

Most likely Kojima studios will go indie or get snapped up by someone like EA.

If you go to your download history now it will just show the name and that's it. No file size, picture - anything.

It's gone folks, completely.

Well that'll be a first if true.

At what time today was it the case for you that it was no longer in your download list?

How could they go Indie? Its still Konamis studio.

Could Sony afford to build a new studio around Kojima at this point or does it make more sense to try and buy an already working studio? They mightn't get a new Kojima game until 2019.

Not really, it's happened to stuff like Outrun 2 online before due to licensing rights. This is why I hate a digital future!

Neither Hideo Kojima or Kojima Productions are part of Konami anymore.

Hence why Konami are recruiting for the next Metal Gear.
