"but m8 ur supposed 2 luv the singles" - the music industry

That's as maybe, but what songs from albums that weren't pushed do you really bloody like? I've put "filler" but as we know that's a shite term that is usually negative. Used here it is only meant to push how the tracks in question are underdogs compared to the singles.

Me:

Halford: Nightfall

The tracks pushed were the excellent Resurrection and Silent Screams, as well as the ultimately wasted opportunity but still enjoyable One you Love to Hate, but I absolutely adore Nightfall. It has an identity that flows from lead guitar to vocals to lyrics and back again. It's very easy to picture a scenario in a movie to this and I've often used it as inspiration for my writing.

Power Quest: For Evermore

It's weird how much the band didn't push this song. They pushed Temple of Fire and Sacred Land which were okay, but this song was like the culmination of the Power Quest keyboard/guitar ratio of the time and the lyrics and structure are really special. Band leader Steve Williams learned his lesson though (after the lacking Master of Illusion)

Queen: Football Fight

Freddie Mercury is gonna strawberry floatin bockle you mate. This sounds like a Commodore 64's SID chip came to life to fight evil.

Cheeky Girls: Mickey Blue

Was completely overshadowed by the masterpiece "Touch My Bum" but in its own way this song improved the entire world.

Oh hell, yes. As the first Queen thing I ever bought, this was the B-side to Flash, and I listened to it much more than the A-side. Also The Hero, from the full soundtrack album.

There’s a Lady Gaga song that, whenever I hear a clip of it, makes me think it was inspired by (copied from) Football Fight.

Something I Can Never Have and Ringfinger are album tracks from Nine Inch Nails first album and are among my favourite NIN tracks.

The demo for that song is much better, worth tracking down for a listen.
