Never been in a cinema where there has been clapping, thankfully. I mean who am I supposed to be applauding? If the director turned up, or the cast walked on stage, then fair enough.

It’s like Americans who have a strange tendency to clap upon the landing of a plane. It’s like ‘did I miss the emergency landing? Did someone just defuse a bomb? Did one of the wings fall off? Was I on Boeing’s inaugural flight to New York?’

I can understand clapping at the end of a premiere screening but to clap at the end of a normal one?

Think people were too scarred by the ending of Infinity War to do anything but cry

I like the way they're calling out fire regulations, and what happens if you can't find your keys, "SO DANGEROUS WHAT DUCK UK ERA WHAT'S WRONG WITH YALL", when they have guns in their houses. GUNS.

Right, I'm sure the "the tenant was burned alive because he's a dumbass and should have known better not to misplace the key" defense would go over swell with a jury in a wrongful death lawsuit while the plantiff's attorney is hammering away at the fact that I could have prevented all of that by simply installing locks on doors that don't require tools for egress.

I've installed and removed hundreds of locks, taken them apart, and am a pretty decent lock picker. I could be a locksmith if I wanted to. A double cylinder lock has zero benefit when it comes to security over a single cylinder lock. Why anyone would willingly incur the potentially huge liability of double cylinder locks for zero benefit is crazy to me.

Like they don't even realise the three options available in that situation:

1 - Keep your keys in pocket at all times
2 - Keep keys by the door
3 - Jump out the window

They probably don't realise the people involved are actors.

I recently changed my front door a couple of years ago and it's the first time I'd ever encountered a door that can be locked from the outside that then leaves you unable to open it from the inside without a key.

It's a triple system though, should you wish to use it. You can either just shut the door, pull the handle upwards enabling the second lock (which then needs the key to be turned in a combination method to open the door from the outside), and you can also lock it with a key. Being at home, I don't see the point, but it's there should you wish to use it. B&Q told me it's because, theoretically, a device could be put through the letterbox at night which can pull the handle down, but only if you'd forgotten to enable the second lock.

Basically, it's a new door with new security features, but I've encountered a range of doors in my life (I mean, obviously), so it's not like I'm having my mind blown at the mere prospect of a NEW DOOR.

I'd love to know what they'd make of Everest's triple glazed windows...
