Not really surprised Microsoft would want it dead. It's been ultra negative against them for a while now. I know MS haven't helped themselves at times, but some of the criticism was over the top. Whilst the forum was clearly biased in favour of Sony especially as one of the admins used to work for Adam Boyes.
