Shampower is great, I'd probably buy that.

24 year old American has alcohol for first time, has no concept of Spirits and wonders if white wine looks like milk.

So for a first drink, this individual has some random mixture, and has no idea as to its strength or content, jeez.

Would it not have been easier just to have something simple, like a beer or a glass of cider?

I couldn't even tell you the first time I had alcohol. Maybe 12. I know it was probably either Lambrusco or Bucks Fizz though.

I had a sip of sparkling wine as a kid and hated it, then i tried the infamous hoopers hooch as a teenager (14 i think) which i went on to enjoy regularly for a while. After that i tended to go for beer or bacardi breezers, whereas nowadays i prefer a nice glass of red wine.
