Wow, a lot of you really managed to show your whole asses in this thread. I'm just going to start from the beginning because there is a whole lot of gooseberry fool to cover and that's probably the place to start.

So, to begin with, let's not laugh at gooseberry fool like this. Something that hardly gets talked about is how jokes like this literally help perpetuate toxic masculinity. Yes, women can be just as guilty as men when it comes to this. Yes, men are also victims of toxic masculinity.

All gooseberry fool like this does is give people body image issues and make them feel like they aren't properly human. Knowing this, what do we decide to do? Apparently laugh at it and try to defend it.

I am embarrassed by all of you. Literally embarrassed. You're all acting like children who don't know any better. For all this talk everyone makes about how toxic masculinity is bad, here you all are upholding it without a second thought. You should be embarrassed by yourselves.

As for the fools comparing this to actual bigotry. Seriously? What the hell is wrong with you? This is very obviously not good, but it's not bigotry.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, stop comparing everything to actual bigotry. All you're doing is making the life and death issues that others face every day less than. While you may not mean to, you belittle the struggles of the marginalized.
