Yes.

You might get away with it if it’s with a black friend that doesn’t mind you doing it, but it’s still a very very racist word - even if you end it in “ah”.

Yeah my friends and I should probably stop greeting one another with that term then.

Yeah I’d say that was for the best.

Jesus Christ, this thread is quite eye opening, I mean, WTF? :fp:

PC gone mad.

I always call my friends N-words when I meet them outside the Paki shop so we can go out for a Chinky.

:fp:

P.S. that's a sarcastic post, just in case that wasn't clear.

?

Using an example to point out when someone is doing something wrong is now in itself wrong?

To be fair, Nick, I can see how you and your friends might have been confused, or even misled by the proliferation of the n-word amongst African Americans by black entertainers, which begs the argument that it’s okay if used either as a term of endearment amongst friends or when singing along to rap music (regardless of the user’s ethnicity), such as here -

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/amp.abc.ne ... le/9794446

I, however, don’t agree with anyone using the term ever. It was NOT a reclamation! African Americans were duped into the usage by first blaxploitation movies and then gangsta rap, both of which were controlled by white and Jewish executives, a case of life imitating art, not the other way around.

You might not have meant it that way, but that’s a terrible post. Black people were duped into using the word because of white and Jewish executives? Jesus....

Basically, yes. Once hip hop really took off it was supplanted with gangsta rap by the above mentioned execs, who actively encouraged use of the n-word until it became ubiquitous. Is my usage of ‘duped’ terrible? By that point there weren’t too many African Americans in the ghetto conscious enough to stand up to the tide of negative influences, including crack cocaine - the romanticization of which was also pushed by those execs.

We used to use it quite a bit after watching this like "N*GG*R WHHHHAAAAATTTT!!!!"

I'm sure the casual use of it in music encourages people to use it as a term of endearment, but I don't think it gives anyone an excuse to trivialise it when it's use in the manner the fine gentleman in the video did.

Also, apparently the Spanish police won't be prosecuting.
