Fans of Rare and Rare IP I think will be pleased with what we're going to show at E3," Spencer said. "We had a limited amount of time today and a lot of story to tell. But Rare remains an incredibly important part of our development capability.

"That historic IP that they've built I think can play a real important role on Xbox One."

OMG yes

Supposedly one of the images from the dashboad was of a Rare game, the one with the knight.

I still think Rare are capable of coming up with a good game at least, hopefully there aren't any excuses this time. I know things like Kameo and PDZ got padded around from console to console before launching on 360 and Banko was okay, but im still wating for that good/great Rare Xbox game. Cant wait to see what theyve been working on.

Boy with the reaction to the Xbox's features, there really is a huge amount of pressure on the games to deliver the goods at E3. I don't know why but I've a feeling they'll at least deliver on the games front.

The Rare I used to love died a long time ago. I bought an Xbox and a 360 partially on the promise of playing their games and I won't be tricked again!

I'm hoping it's the rumoured water-based racer but Banjo/PD will do nicely instead.

You would think "historic Ip" means an N64 franchise, unless we're talking Ultimate days.

They did chase that Killer Instinct trademark renewal for something.

Given how many mistakes Microsoft seem to be making with the Xboxone bringing back Killer Instinct wouldn't surprise me.

I would love a decent Banjo Kazooie or Perfect Dark.

Alas, I have very little faith in the Rare of today.

Their output has been average for well over a decade... and as a result care very little for their franchises any more.

A wonderfully playable jet force Gemini would be a nice little suprise though

It would be great if they could produce some classics like they had in the past.

I'd love nothing more than for them to create another great FPS or platformer. Jet Force Gemini is something I haven't thought about in a long time, but I'd jizz my pants if they could make a decent follow-up.

Relying on the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia to get people excited, are they? Rare today is a very different entity to Rare circa the mid-1990s. I'd be a lot more excited if MS decided to have them build up a roster of new IPs, really.

The Jimmy Saville character would probably get cut.

If they showed that and a new Nuts and Bolts I would suddenly be very interested in this new machine.
