Ultimate were *terrible* on the C64, Octo! I'm a huge C64 fan and I guess that Staff was their best effort, but I can't imagine playing stuff like Imhotep.

Sudden thought: I wonder how the old Ultimate games are allowed to be released on this compilation? I may have lost track, but I'm sure that US Gold bought the Ultimate name years ago... maybe it was just the name rather than IP ownership? Perhaps the Ultimate games will be re-badged as Rare on this compilation?

I am still envious that this is an Xbox One exclusive.

I know the C64 games were a bit pants, but just one for old times' sake would have pleased my inner geek.

I wonder if the US Gold deal is why Nightshade was omitted? The authorship of the later games is not clear. I'm pretty sure Solar Jetman was developed by Software Creations.

Nightshade was original Ultimate not US Gold. There were 2 US gold games under the Ultimate name and both were a bit pants: Martianoid and Bubbler

They obviously couldn't include everything from the back catalogues, so there will always be some peoples favourites missing - Tranz Am would have been ace with extra challenges in as the above video. But the selection of games and love put into the whole package is pretty staggering. Best thing at E3.

Definitely, 'Quake. Some of the games will only interest older players for the nostalgia, but there is plenty of bang for your buck with this set. If I had an XBO I'd snap it up on Day One.

Just catching up with E3. Brilliant value, this. Wouldn't get it myself as I already have most of the games, but still, a great chance for people who've never played these before.

Really wish Cyberun was on there - that was one of my favourite Ultimate games.

Has it been established yet whether or not these are going to be HD ports like the Banjo games or straight ports?

The whole collection is classed as one 'game', so you'll have that plus the original titles. Think owning both The Orange Box and Portal.

I should correct myself on this. Turns out that the 360 games will indeed use their original lists. The 10,000G mentioned at E3 includes 6,000 already included with those titles, plus a further 4,000 listed under 'Rare Replay'.

The Games Collection are selling it for £19.85. I can't wait to play all the N64 ones again.

Probably only one on here, but whatever - looking forward to replaying Grabbed by the Ghoulies. It's pretty much black sheep of that lot but I love the game, still do. That along N64 version of Conker's Bad Fur Day and Blast Corps <3

Wqs there a difference between the N64 version of Conker and the Xbox version? Apart from the graphical upgrade

The Xbox game had "Live & Reloaded" tagged onto the title; the "Live" aspect referred to the online multiplayer games whilst "Reloaded" was the polished-up (but, in a strange twist, less sweary) single-player game.

I never played Blast Corps and Conker so those will be first on. I also hope they somehow implement better controls in Jet Force Gemini.

Also looking forward to playing Solar Jetman and RC Pro AM to see if they hold up.

The Xbox version was censored to buggery, from what I understand.

Looking forward to Solar Jetman too, as I never played the original. I'm interested in how well conker holds up. I had a lot of fun with it when it came out (I think I finished it twice back to back if I recall). Is Kameo any good - never played that either?

It's pretty decent. Probably showing its age a bit now, and some of the game mechanics are a little odd, but it was one of the better 360 launch titles.
