I'm assuming the frame rate will be smoothed out from the N64, which should make it pretty playable. There are a whole tonne load of classics in there that are actually good - even more so since they have added extra challenges and the like in the games. I just think it could be about the best value package of games ever on a console.

My only concern is some of the older titles will suffer it this day and age! I hope they have given enough time and consideration for every game in this collection

This has been streamed over the last couple of days. Today it was mentioned that a new control scheme is being developed for Jet Force Gemini. It won't be ready on launch but it's planned to be patched in later. The aim is to give it feel like Gears of War's controls. I was planning to jump into JFG first but I'll give it a quick go and move on to Conker if I find it too tricky.

There was also talk about how the developers whittled 120 games down to 30 for the final release. They're aware of the demand for more games as DLC and are internally discussing possibilities. Hopefully we get Live and Reloaded so that we can play some online multiplayer.

I didn't watch today's stream, or catch the N64 games yesterday, but someone on Gaf mentioned that the frame rates of Blast Corps, JFG and Conker looked much smoother than the original versions. It sounds like they're really doing this collection justice. Hopefully The Game Collection gets this to me on Saturday so that I can play it early. I'm away on Sunday but I'll be looking forward to getting back into this on Monday evening before and after Mario Kart.

I'm busy this weekend so I cancelled my order from The Game Collection and bought the digital version instead. I'll set it to pre-load tonight and give it a go on Monday night when it unlocks.
