I was thinking this last night, i wonder if it still works if the actual game doesn't include the option?

I think it will, I thought that it would change the controls for everything.

Hmmm i'll give it a go later and see what happens

Speaking of Conker, is there a point to collecting the money? I've not bothered with it so far

It's been a few years since I played it, but as I recall, isn't collecting money... well, the point of the game?

Tried the controller options but you can only invert the Y axis sadly

It does appear that the money collecting is part of the game.....going to have to go round and collect it all i guess

Does anyone still play this? Anyone bother to play through many of the games?

Had to stop playing Conker, its just awful to play, its not aged well at all. The controls are crap, why Rare didn't think to update the controls or even just port the Xbox version is beyond me.

I got pretty close to the end, got to 'The War' chapter and its just not fun to play

I thought the Xbox version was the same, bar it looking nicer, having more censorship and having stuff cut from the game?

I thought they improved the controls in the Xbox version? I think, in general, games from the N64 era don't hold up well at all unless they have been given a remaster

From the little I played of it it seemed absolutely fine, but you can get all the achievements on Conker using the cheats, so it didn't get that much game time. :slol:

Blast Corps is pretty strawberry floating fun. Never played it before this collection. Challenging game, but satisfying when you figure out what to do. It was probably the game I enjoyed most from Rare Replay.

It does look like dogshit. But charming dogshit.

Just started Blast Corps on Sunday. The strawberry floating dump truck controls. strawberry floating christ almighty. :fp: I probably haven't touched the game since the month it came out 19 years ago so I completely forgot about how this absolute piece of gooseberry fool handles. Almost ruins the game. :fp: It just doesn't make any sense the way it moves when you slide. I can't wrap my head around it.

However, "time to get moving!" That brings back fond memories.

It took me years to get to grips with that dump truck but when you do it is super satisfying to use.

Finished Blast Corps tonight after spending nearly 2 strawberry floating hours on ONE strawberry floating MISSION! Goddamn the controls and everything to do with movement in this game. How did I not go insane back when I originally played this? I'd love to see a new game of this ilk with controls that don't suck, a decent camera and non-shite collision detection.

Overall I did actually enjoy it despite the bloody ridiculous difficulty spikes towards the end.

Went straight onto Banjo Kazooie afterwards and 100%'ed Mumbo Mountain in 20mins. :datass:

I used to be able to 100% Mumbo's Mountain in less than ten minutes back in the day. Good times.

Been playing it all day. 100% on all levels up to Mad Monster Mansion. :datass:

I had forgotten how awful the camera in this game is. :fp: The only thing worse are the swimming controls. Then when you put the two together :dread:

strawberry floating great game, though.

Some of the older titles have dated somewhat (I found Snake Rattle and Roll to be almost unplayable) but most of them have some merit. I'd recommend dipping into the Snapshot feature, these are bite-sized mini games based on features of these titles and are really compulsive. If you find you enjoy a particular title then the full game is obviously available as well.

As for the more recent stuff; Banjo, Perfect Dark, Blast Corps, Kameo and Viva Piñata TIP are my favorites.

I think I'll try the N64 titles first, maybe Kameo based on the posts above. :)

I played through Kameo recently, it's decent and well-worth a go.
