If you're complaining about paying £70 and not shopping around at places selling it for cheaper then that's on you.

Please direct us all in the direction of somewhere selling it for £49.99 or less.

Ubisoft PlayStation 5 line up are all going for £35 new online. 3 AAA games (at least in marketing) and half price withing a month or so of release. DMC 5 £25, Godfall £45, like has already been said, unless it's GTA or be Nintendo it's getting cheap very quickly.

Wish my image sig would work

I do shop around, think I got DS for around £64 on release, still around £20 than I used to pay for new releases in the previous gen.

I'm not sure, personally, that I go along with the idea that because some retailers sell the games a bit cheaper than RRP that this is all fine. I feel that the only reason that some PS5 games have dropped in price from £70 to £50 is because they weren't selling too well; especially in the case of Ubisoft's titles where they dropped to £35.

I do agree with the suggestion that it's better to never buy a game at launch. Prices can drop quickly; if a game isn't an immediate smash hit than publishers quickly act to make sure more copies are shifted. During the PS4 years from launch through to around 2018 I was totally caught up in the hype cycle and regularly pre-ordered games. I finally came to my senses when I saw regular cases of games that I'd bought quickly dropping in price; sometimes as soon as one month after launch.

For me, at this time, the initial starting prices of new gen games are keeping me away from wanting to join that market. Even if they do drop in the weeks/months post-launch, that starting position just deters me.

I like spending £70 on new games. Makes them feel like more of a luxury.

Prices are always higher early in the lifecycle of a machine, I would imagine we will see new releases coming down to £60 and hopefully even lower as the machine becomes more mature.

Console game prices are one of the reasons why I'm keen to stick with PC as my primary platform where I still rarely pay more than £30-40 for the few games I do buy on release, and where much deeper discounts are a more common sight for picking up games shortly after release.

I've not had the greatest luck with my PS4 Pro but picking it up late in the lifecycle did allow me to hoover up plenty of exclusives for relatively peanuts compared to what I would have paid if I'd bought them at launch.

Yeah, or wait a couple of years and it will be free on PS+.

Anyway, it looks great and I enjoyed the first one on PS4 Pro.

Game Collection have it for £62.95. There's a site called offergames selling it for £54.74 but I'd never heard of them until now and their trustpilot reviews are pretty much all bad.

Be interested to see how long this game is compared to the last game, I know you shouldn’t judge a games price by length but they need to justify the jump in price in 1st party games.

Looks great and it would be great if I could have a PS5 when this releases, but dam those prices are expensive.

Definitely buying this, but it certainly needs to be one where going back to achieve 100% is worth doing.

Looking good, more R&C but with fancier graphics really but it’ll be cool to play at some point

With all the different weapons, it'll hopefully be the best use of haptics since Astro Bot. It looks great but will definitely wait for it to be cheaper.
