Thanks for this, just ordered it. Still pretty expensive (57 with delivery) but I'm going halves so £29 is alright!

strawberry float Tesco go for ebay! Boss_Deals and Shop4less is £55.99 without Tesco’s hassle!

Had a nightmare with Resi because it has to be in stock on the day.

Do not pre order games from Amazon!

Played this all morning. So far it's very Ratchet and Clank but a bit more polished and the narrative feels like it's more important.

Weapons are all well done and I really like the unique take on each character and world via the rifts. The rift mechanic isn't used as much as I expected. It's not like the time effect in that level in Dishonored 2, instead it's specific to having a rift present.

Difficulty is just right on medium, bosses are fun and the writing is really well done.

Wish my image sig would work

My word its a good looking game. Mindless fun and plays really well.

Nice variety of weapons already only about hour in.

It’s the same old Ratchet and Clank format in shiny graphics which isn’t a bad thing really. The rift jumping is a gimmick that I hardly use in a middle of a gunfight.

Rivet is a wonderful character. The guns are insane. The only gripe I have is that it’s a bit too easy on Normal difficulty, so if you want a challenge, bump it up a bit.

Edge are the kids at school who think they're too cool for Muse because they only listen to bands nobody else has heard of.

I’ve never been able to get into Ratchet and Clank they just seem so ordinary to me the combination of platformer shooter just doesn’t really jell. I find it ends up being very plain in both departments and as result has never got me to comeback beyond an initial ‘Ill give it a try’.

That said, as there’s naff all else to play this time of year I might have jumped in for a next gen experience at a reasonable game price of around £40. At £70 though they can naff right off and I hope Sony start to get the message that like with Returnal, people just won’t pay that much.

One thing I will say is that so far the shooting has been surprisingly improved over previous entries, but the platforming has been a disaster.

Going through the factory to find the SpyBot in the first real level was a mess. Tall boxes on a conveyor belt that look short enough to reach, aren’t, and there’s no consistency to when Ratchet can ledge hang and pull himself up. Balancing on the rim of a circular laser pit that feels like I’m exploiting an oversight in the level geometry, falling in fiddly gaps between conveyor belts and the walls, wall jumping off invisible boundaries and getting occasionally stuck in falling animations for a little too long. Hoping it improves when I get more tools and skills.

I don't bother with their subscription anymore. I know reviews are opinions, but a 7 is just ridiculous. It is coming from the same guys who gave Halo 2 and Bayonetta a 10 though, so no surprise there. There was also the infamous GTA3 score, which they changed an issue later due to a misprint if I remember correctly!

Look forward to the 10 for Halo Infinite and Forza 5, for not being innovative, but the best in their genre etc etc

That’s the game finished and platinumed.

I bloody love every minute of the game. It’s a solid 8/10 game.

I've just found the last collectible so I'm ready for the end game. Will definitely be doing a NG+ immediately and having some fun with RYNO.

I can't convey just how strawberry floating incredible it looks at times, particularly during the cuscenes where the characters are full frame. It's just beautiful.
