eBay boss_deals one.

It's a brand new sealed by the way.

I've started playing it tonight, and oh boy. The graphics are stunning and looks like a Pixar film but it looks beautiful.

Got this yesterday for 40 Euro second hand. Not the best price for a second hand game but I was dying to play a proper ps5 game.

It does indeed look stunning.

What is the suggested mode of playing it in? I am playing on performance RT as that was my preferred mode on Miles Morales.

So True! R&C games always fun and easy to pick up and play and feel second nature.

I have not tried fidelity mode yet! I feel like I cant go back to gaming at 30fps.. this is omething that grinds my gears to be honest with the new gen, I dont know why we have to choose... 60 fps should be standard on all modes, maybe in the future we wont have to choose between graphic modes as you always get that feeling you are missing out on something whichever way you go.

If your TV supports 120hz, you can set it up to 4K/40fps with fidelity mode. A lot of people says it's a lot better than 30fps.

Unfortunately my TV doesn't support 120hz. Ah well...

It's taken me until the Alien-inspired level (Juice) to realise I can hover around on R1, and speed up even more by pressing R2. :| :fp:

Amazon gave me a £20 voucher for seemingly no reason at all (wahey!) so I decided to purchase it much earlier than I was going to.

A solid 8/10 so far (have to say I preferred Sackboy). Camera irritations occasionally, coupled with a bit too much shooting for my tastes. Jumping to areas that A) you weren't actually supposed to go so just die B) are actually INVISIBLE WALLS or C) you can access but realise you weren't supposed to so you're stuffed bring it down somewhat. I've since learned to stick to the in-game map. An eminently playable game though, that looks amazing. No way is it 6 hours either...these YT videos must be speed running it, and not bothering with either the cut-scenes (right up there with an animated movie, they are) and the side missions.

I think I have got 1/4 left to go and I'm enjoying this a lot.

The two robots (Clank and Kit) are incredibly cute.

Finished the main quest yesterday.

The first time you land on a different planet is always jaw dropping with this game. I loved the level of detail tey put in every level, There are some games where its like the devs put in so much effort in the first levels and then it turns bland. Not the same case with this game.

I have 3 trophies left to collect for 100%

aaaand finished! First game I ever platinumed :toot:

Beautiful little game and loads of fun but not without its flaws.

The invisible walls were a bit lazy I feel and not something I expect on the PS5 but its a minor gripe.

My main issue with the game was the rift thing. It was only a glorified grapple hook when it was advertised that we would be using it to switch from one dimension to another without load times, but this only happened in cut scenes or some on the rails sections

Anyways it gets an 8 from me, because apart from that the game was loads of fun and very rarely frustrated me. The game still felt fast and responsive in fidelity mode which was great too.

Just started this and got to the first instance of playing as Rivet. 30 fps got changed right quick, I’m playing the ‘middle’ choice I think and it still looks the bomb. Gunplay feels a little lightweight and it’s not doing anything hugely different from what it’s always done, but if it ain’t broke etc
I like how Insomniac have straight-up twokked the wall running from their other games though! Why not, I guess.

Platinumed! :toot:

It's a great game and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The graphics are beautiful and the loading times are insanely quick.

I'd give it an 8 and I would recommend anybody to play it.

I've been slowly working my way through this. I agree with a comment above about the rifts not really being utilised much. That being said, I know we've seen the cutscene of them going through loads of dimensions at the start plenty of times in trailers but seeing that actually ingame was very cool. I assume the SSD is what lets you move so fast with the hoverboots as well.

The Dualsense stuff is nice as well but I dunno, with all the different weapons in these games I expected something more from it. They pretty much all shoot and feel the same with the half trigger then full trigger.

This game is the nuts, man. Some of the set piece bits have been jaw-dropping, so good. The secrets are a little easy in this though, or maybe I’m just that good (more like having rinsed every Ratchet game in existence bar one).
You 8/10 scorers…tough crowd.

It's a 6 or 7 from me, the incomplete geometry and invisible walls really let it down. Visually it's incredible though, the graphical fidelity, art style and instant loading combine into some stunning set pieces.

I can't get used to the half-trigger presses, I don't get why that's a good control setup other than just to show off it is possible. Just split secondary fire onto another button, it makes more sense. This is coming from someone who misses the analogue face button use in MGS3

Up to the "no going back" point in this so think I'm going to try and mop up some collectibles/trophies first. Despite some quirks and grievances mentioned in the main PS5 thread I've been really enjoying this, it's just a lot of fun to blast through! And I still don't think I can get over just how jaw droppingly good looking the game is, just stunning work.

Main take away from it is still probably going to be that I just really want a PS5 Jak & Daxter game now though!

It really is an incredible looking game. Many games get this praise and I don’t often see it (Forza Horizon 5 most recently, it looks exactly the same as Forza Horizon 4 to me). This game always left me slightly stunned when it cut back to gameplay so smoothly.

Loved the dual sense implementation as well, especially when it used vibration to create certain frequency pitches. I always think that’s a cool effect.
