I should really pick up Ghost Trick whilst it’s in the sale shouldn’t I? I already have it on DS, but obviously I need to spend money and buy another version to replay it on…

You could stick to the DS version, kaz - I don't think the Switch version is too much different and I believe that it still has a 4:3 screen presentation. I'm staying with the DS original.

You’re not wrong Jawa, it’s just that I really don’t like playing handheld these days. My aging body finds it very uncomfortable.

Must be nice for young whippersnappers such as yourself.

Fair play, dude! It is a decent port; the sharper graphics look nice - even more so if you're gonna be playing on a TV.

90% of my 'everyone should play it' comment is directed at Ghost Trick rather than Ghost Trick 2023. Jawa's right that the remaster doesn't add much to the original game. That 10%, however... it does look great on the telly, the stick controls work better than they should, and there's the fact that this is the only opportunity to give a vote of confidence to Shu Takumi doing something new and interesting (since I don't think we'll get a Ghost Trick 2). The fact is that this is the freshest and best thing he's done by a way (I'd say the best thing Capcon has done, and no I'm not saying that for the sake of comtroversy), and there are worse uses of money than voting with your wallet to say that yes, you'd like more of this.

And of course if you struggle to play games in handheld then it's a no-brainer. 8-) It's well worth a replay.

I spent a lot of time gaming in 2023 but only really on two games; both of which I'd already put lots of time into. But...

> Fallout 76 | PS4 Pro | Several hundred hours; generally in build mode. I thought that I may get tired of it but I didn't. [9]
> Animal Crossing New Horizons | Switch | 75 hours. Deleted my old island and completely started afresh. Very much enjoyed it. [8]

Other games that I put a small amount of time into but probs not more than an hour or so: Saints Row (PS5) - liked it and want to play more. Grindstone (Switch) - terrific puzzler that I return to now and again. Watch Dogs (PS4 Pro) - I really like the exploration and driving in this.

Completely forgot about Starfield (like most people judging by its player counts! :slol: )

Added that to my list as a 6

Off top of my head and forcing myself to whole numbers:

Metroid 2 - an impressively weird and moody 8 only to be played with the Switch app rewind
Metroid Fusion - a slick but slightly forgettable 8
Metroid Prime Remastered - a 9
TOTK - an unwieldy but undeniably 10
Quake 2 - a surprisinglydisappointing 7
New Super Lucky's Tale - head 8 heart 9
Cocoon - 7 (smooth to a fault?)
*NSMBWonder - a surprisinglydull (to me) 6 did everyone forget about Rayman Legends
*Wavetale - 7ish for some of the wave-cresting flow (likely more if wasn't playing the janky Switch version)
A Highland Song - a slow-grow 9
Echoes of the Eye - a sometimes scary 9
Jusant - just about 8

*Lots played but not finished

I apologize to any games I missed
