For me it's:

Sony - 5
Microsoft - 5
Nintendo - 3
Bethesda - 8

Bethesda had an easier job as they are not trying to sell confidence in a console. Overall, a hugely disappointing E3 with too many sequels and remakes and no feeling that the industry is moving forwards. I don't think I have ever felt as bored as a gamer.

It doesn't help when stuff like Halo has been in development for a ridiculous amount of time from being announced, and that things like Zelda have been delayed indefinitely.

To be fair I though Microsofts outing showed that at least they seem to have a vision going forward, There was no leaning on major third party companies, Fallout 4 was the only one that had any kind of time on stage and even that came with a nice caveat of Fallout 3 free and free mods. EA was on stage for a tiny amount compared to previous years and although Tomb Raider is technically third party, being published by MS means that they feel/show that its an MS game.

It may be an oximoron but backwards compatability was the industry moving forward. Early access also coming to console is moving things along also. Yes Halo 5 dominated at the start but Forza's stay was short, I only wich Gears wasnt shown off as it was too early and rubbish looking. The majority was innovatiive announcements and indie games, I was genuinly excited for whats to come, the last 2 nights on The Long Dark and Elite was a breathe of fresh air, 2 outstanding games. Day Z coming is the icing on the cake, last year it was announced at Sony's Conferance and I was excited even for that, now its also coming to X1 (possibly sooner cos its earlly access) means my xmas is sorted.

How much'd you get for it? Strongly considering doing the same myself.

I don't think anyone knocked it out of the park really.

Sony had the most impressive conference: Uncharted 4 looked outstanding, Horizon looked like a very interesting new IP (I think I might have preferred it without the robots though) and there were obviously the big reveals of TLG, Shenmue and FF7 (having not played Shenmue, I'm not particularly interested in it). However, a lot of the content was for well into the future, and a good chunk of it (Blops, No Mans Sky, Destiny) left me cold.

Xbox has the best 2015. Backwards compatibility was the highlight for me, Tomb Raider, despite being given a poor showing IMO, will be incredible and the Rare collection was a fantastic reveal. However, as someone who isn't a fan of Halo, Gears or Forza, there wasn't that much there for me. Minecraft Hololens looked amazing, and I look forward to seeing the tech in more detail.

Nintendo had a terrible conference, it felt like the video was unfinished (little news on third parties, indies or the eShop, etc.). I don't think any of the games demoed well, and a good few of the new titles look poor, and it looks like Ninty have moved on from the Wii U. I think they made a big mistake releasing a Smash direct and a mini-direct a few days before. That being said, Paper Mario and Luigi was a nice surprise, and the World Championships and (what I've seen of) Treehouse Live are excellent. Super Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World look fantastic, and I'll be getting Chibi-Robo as well (mainly for the amiibo :shifty: ) this year.

Gotta back photek up they do seem to have a more coherent vision now. Id say though that of course not everything was shown at the conference like game streaming and the new UI and cortana they do have a plan of how the xbox will fit in with the rest of the windows family and what they want to do in the future. I said in the their conference thread they have much more confidence as a company overall

So only Microsoft have a vision going forward.

Nintendo, Sony, EA, Bethesda etc don't have one?

He didn't say that, though.

I hate defending Photek ( :dread: ) but you appear to be trying to start an argument with him for a fairly innocent comment.

I don't know why people are arguing at all. Photek and Wiggy prefer MS so clearly they will prefer MS's conference.

I didn't say they were the only one and for me I did prefer the Ms conference over the Sony simply because most of the games didn't interest me. But I get people liked the Sony one I didn't think it was terrible or anything my only complaint really was while they showed a lot of stuff people wanted it was all very much in the future
