Had a lot of fun with this on Vita. That music in the Pleasure Quarter

If you're a fan of the music, this is well worth a listen!

Loved Gravity Rush on the Vita. Went and finished the PS4 version as well. Superb game.

That reminds me that I have Gravity Rush 2. Need to go back to that (well after Modern Warfare and The Outer Worlds.)

Dear Cells. Perfect for quick 15-20 minute sessions.

*Edit* Smash Brothers Ultimate.

Hello there.

Looking for a game I can get my teeth into (plenty of depth), but that isn’t too difficult that’ll have me tearing my hair out.

For Switch or Xbox One.

Any suggestions welcome

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Switch has plenty of depth.

In terms of difficulty, it is very confusing at first but once you get a grip of the battle system it's fine in terms of difficulty. You'll probably need to watch a YouTube tutorial to learn it though!

Thirded, it's amazing :toot:

Though I'd recommend starting with the first game if you haven't played it either.

On this note - I've been meaning to try GR1 (Remastered) or GR 2 for some time. But which to choose?!

The 60fps of 1 appeals, but I'm guessing 2 might be overall the better package?

But free-falling platforming swooping action sounds right up my street.

I always look back more fondly on 1 compared to 2 but I can't for the life of me remember why.

Thanks for the suggestions :toot:

I do have DE and 2 (and X  ), all unplayed, so perhaps now is the time to start my Xenoblade journey.

Thought about that but regionalisation for the title was proving too tricky.

It's a cracking game, and playing it in lockdown adds an extra frisson of danger to it! :toot:

There needs to be a lockdown version where you clap on someone's doorstep and have to run away before they open the door.

Knowing you enjoy movement-feel and exploring game spaces I think you'd enjoy either. 2 is more developed and while it still has problems with combat - probably the series' main criticism - they are less pronounced than the first game. 2 also has more variety in core traversal as you can switch between gravity styles and it is fun experimenting between being heavy and full of momentum or light and floaty, and it also has more location variety. 2 is actually more like 2+3 with three separate and sequential story arcs, so it's also definitely got the more content, but one of those arcs is concerned with returning to the city from the first game - I think that's better obviously having the context from playing the first game first! In fact I really like the story and characters so I would recommend playing the games in order, but it depends how much that matters to you (the story gets on to Kingdom Hearts level of obtuse anyway so I don't think you'd be spoiling it by playing 2 first, you'd just be even more lost on certain aspects of it but that's normal!)

2 had online elements that unfortunately got shut down only a year or so after launch. They weren't integral to the game, but they were ever present treasure-hunts placed across the map by other players taking photos of locations for you to find and it's a shame they are gone (there are also a few costumes locked behind it now forever lost but oh well - I didn't get them all anyway because it was quite a grind!).

The music in both games is fantastic. Visually both have strong styles and art direction, but obviously 2 being made for PS4 vs Vita means it is the prettier game. 2 is a very pretty game!
