Do we have a recommend me a game thread? If so then sorry.

Anyways, I've absolutely overdosed on RPGs recently on Switch and I'm looking for something different. A palate cleanser that I can play in between rpg sessions. So, here's the brief.

Looking for something on either Switch or PS4 as I have credit on both stores. Something that sits nicely with 20-30min play sessions with a sense of progression. Completion in 15 hours or so but with extra stuff to do if I want. Some exploration, some puzzle solving, some combat but not too much. Not to fussed about any shooty bangs. An Assassins Creed lite maybe. And for less than £25.

Help me GR, you're my only hope.

Outer Wilds. No combat but creates a really brilliant feeling of exploration and progression. A better Subnautica imo

I'd really recommend it to anyone so this is a convenient excuse.

Resident Evil 2 is on sale on PSN at the moment.

It’s got exploration, puzzles, and scares. The only obvious is that the playtime is longer than what you’re looking for.

Have you played Wandersong?

It’s a great little indie game available on Switch (PS4 as well I think)

Thanks. To summarise

Scary games - not so much, want something easy going

Outer Wilds - V. Interested and it's on gamepass

Wandersong - have it, wasn't particularly struck. Better examples of metroidvanias on Switch

Jak and Daxter (PS4) 8-10 hours.

Spyro Trilogy (PS4 and Switch) 12-15 hrs per game.

The Sexy Brutale. No combat. All about piecing together the story by viewing different characters’ stories. With some very smart time-loop puzzling.

EDIT: Red Faction Guerrilla

Open world destruction that comes in around 15 hours for the main story. On both Switch and PS4, it has third person shooting but it isn't the main focus of the game. Destroying buildings is where the puzzle solving comes in. Think it's around £20-25 as it's a remaster.

I'm going to guess at Red Faction?

...I somehow deleted the first line saying Red Faction :fp:  Yes

My other choice would be Gravity Rush

Gravity Rush is a good shout. Probably a bit shorter than 15 hours, but otherwise ticks all the boxes.

Base.com at £17.99 seems as cheap as that game is ever going to get so I might give it a punt. At least I'll probably get most of that back on trade in if I don't like it.
