...yeah? What am I missing?
It doesn’t even matter. He’s in a shite relationship and should get out of it. Like gaminglegend and everyone else here sat perpetually unhappy. You’re all wasting time if you can’t work your problems out, or choose not to.

It’s always been a fairly girl centric group, i just happened to start going out with one of the girls. If the same group were to organise a lads night it would be... just me. And I’ve no problem with them having a ladies night, can’t emphasise that enough. In fact when she organised our friends coming up I was like, I’ll come to whatever I’m invited to, but obviously do your own thing.

But I was invited until the very last minute, when it was thrown at me that I wouldn’t be welcome because one (highly manipulative) person decided it should be a girls night and i wasn’t welcome. And she sent that as a text to my gf to pass on to me, knowing it would cause an argument. Said person had hung out with me all day without issue and I’d mentioned a few times I was looking forward to the drinks.

Then we are singing off very different songsheets, and for that I apologise.

He still seemed to miss the point by a wide mark.

Yeah. The 'girls night' was Madness, and that sounds like such a dick move on the part of the friend and the girlfriend.

I think you need to go one step beyond this relationship.

Have you considered trying a holiday together? Perhaps an evening cruise on the Nile?

Yes, the night boat to Cairo should sort you out.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Has anyone else noticed how much more friendly strangers are when you're with a woman?

Went for a walk with my girlfriend this morning and like 5 different people said good morning to us, literally never happens when I'm on my own.

People usually say hello when its a nice day - that's the only time I have ever noticed people acting differently.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

+1 for the not noticing people acting different around me when I’m alone/with female company.

I'm guessing I must just look really dodgy or something then, I do have a shaved head and facial piercings so maybe that puts some people off.

Only difference for me would be that on my own I’m wearing headphones and walking faster so I’m less “open” to a hello etc. but otherwise I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference.

Seems like really odd observation to make as there could lots of factors not just a lady girl being there. It’s more likely you walk differently on your own so are less approachable
