I could not deal with that kind of tumult from what you've been saying, especially with her planning on taking almost everything you have and then complaining when you're trying to get yourself set up all over again.

yeah it all seems very edgy to me

I told her Im gonna give it a few weeks and see how it all goes, but the difference in her behavious is night and day

she basically straight up admitted she was being mean to me on purpose to make me be an arsehole but I wouldnt, in order to make it easier to think I was the baddie

in her defence she has eaten humble pie and been telling everyone it was her fault etc

i must admit psychological manipulation and playing games is a red flag to me, but again i have no experience with this...

Wow. Being that deliberately and calculatedly unpleasant to gaslight you for a week or two, to the point that you're getting sorted and then somehow expecting that misery and your own financial outlay to be ok somehow?

That would make me leave even quicker. This now sets a precedent that she can and will do this to get her way. It sounds like she needs professional help and you are not her therapist.

GTFO, False. If you let her get away with the emotional abuse and gaslighting, she'll do it again, and again, and again.

@False: I'm not gonna tell you to leave, but what she did isn't okay. Can she talk to e.g. a therapist about why she felt the need to put you through all that? The relationship might be salvageable but surely it's got to take more than "sorry", no matter how heartfelt. She's going to have to build up the trust all over again.

aye Karl I went into the therapy stuff with her

the issue is that her former partner was abusive to her for about 7 years and it all started after she got married and pregnant to him, so as soon as the issue of commitment comes up she freaks the strawberry float out

as I said a few weeks ago she freaked out not long after we got together because of something that turned out to be inconsequential because it was kind of a trigger

I’m no idiot and she knows where I stand and I’ve been totally honest where I sit with this whole thing and said it’s gonna take me time to trust her again etc and it most certainly ain’t cool with me

the next time I see any hint of anything she’s hearing straight away and I’ll be running for the hills

Yeah I thought you had mentioned previously that she had an abusive partner previously. It's really hard as you are obviously not responsible for what has happened to her in the past but something like that can easily cause the sort of behaviour that you have been describing recently.

From what I’ve read I’d get the strawberry float out of there, great booty or not, but you know the situation better than us.

To my mind though she threatened to withhold your PS4. That’d be the end of the relationship for me.

Might need to see photos of the booty in order to advise on whether to broom or not.

So i've been re-connecting with a lovely woman who I used to work with years ago, but I was too shy to say anything then (I was 18 and socially awkward compared to now where i'm 34 and.....less so) and we've been talking he and there.

I decided after a month to muster up the courage to ask her out on a date, what I got what a plethora of reasons why she didn't want too. She wants to work on herself after her last breakup and her priority is her daughter before she starts dating again, but then I got this gem at the end.

"I’d love to stay friends though"

Jesus, did I get a 1 way trip to the friendzone or should I just wait this out and still chat away :lol:
