Oh also on OK Cupid, for some reason there are a lot of Asian women (a lot from Singapore seemingly) who set their profiles to the UK to get talking to British people. It's quite annoying. Like 50% of my matches on there were from people like that.

Mentioned it before but my brother in law met his partner like this. They spoke for 3 months, she came over (he paid for the flight, obviously) and no lie she got pregnant in the first week (they didn't use protection as she claimed to be sterile).

So yeah.

He's now back in France, she's in Bali with the baby, neither government will give either of them extended visas as they lied by omission on their first attempt to get her a visa in France (they didn't mention she was pregnant at the time) and it's all strawberry floated basically. He still can't work so my parents-in-law (who are not rich) are footing the cost every time he flies out to be with her a few weeks at a time.

whenever, my dude - I got approved by the agency and referrals people and the landlord so Im all set to move in on the 1st

things are getting bitter here, one min shes my bud and then the most random things set her off and shes just extremely bitter and mean - fwiw Im not responding in kind, Im still just getting on with stuff. she was telling me today Im selfish, whilst I was literally sat there trying to arrange discount internet etc for her, whatevs

I don't know her obviously, but I think some people want a relationship to be validated by a big emotional blow-out at the end. It kind of freaks them out if someone can just say "OK, I'm sad, but let's be friends, seeya".

she was mad that I was speaking to the landlord telling him I wanted the carpets cleaned and the bathroom deep cleaned before I move in and she was like but you never cared about that here its upsetting to hear - she doesnt understand the point that Im paying this mummy strawberry floater a gooseberry fool tonne for a house the least he can do is make it factory fresh for me, its not a change in lifestyle outlook its that I want clean carpets if Im not allowed to change them and they are currently not clean - and I got told off for buying fancy bedding and stuff when I never wanted it here, but again I explained it was literally in the clearance section at tk maxx and I think its probably a smart mental health choice if I try to make the new place have at least a facade of being somewhere nice rather than forcing myself to live in squalor as some sort of self penance
