It's amazing just how quickly the day passes. Hope you managed to take a step back and just enjoy yourselves.

We're at two and a half months and it's still doesn't feel "real" to me yet. It's a great feeling though.

Was looking at engagement rings and way way out of my depth

There was a nice platinum one with 0.6 carats that was 3.5k but got the jeweller down to 2.8 without much bother which makes me think that perhaps it’s a rip off?

Obviously want something flashy and smart but don’t wanna get mugged off - seems like a minefield tbh

I don’t think that post is as surprising as you think.

I don’t know anything about engagement rings, I was engaged for less than 24 hours so we didn’t bother.

There is that silly rule that you should spend a months salary on the ring, but I’d worry less about the cost and more about whether she’d like it.
