I snore occasionally but am not too bad.

My brother is appalling though. When we used to live at home, I could hear him through the walls. It drove me so crazy that one day I waited for him to go out and rearranged his entire room so that his bed was as far away as possible from the wall between our bedrooms. It still didn’t work, I could still hear the strawberry floater. He used to deny doing it, even taping him and playing it back to him didn’t convince him.

We all went on a family camping trip a few years ago and me and my wife were walking up the field back to our tent. We were still half a field away when we could hear a noise. My wife asked me what I thought it was and I said it is probably my brother snoring. And it was.

His wife somehow puts up with it, but she says it is far worse if he has had a drink. If he has so much as a pint, she makes him sleep on the sofa.

My first girlfriend used to sit up and talk absolute nonsense.

I snore like a bastard, but then so does my wife and it's rare it bothers either of us. She gets woken by me more than I get woken by her though. I also do that thing when I'm conscious and can't hear anything, then get told I'm snoring really loudly.

It's lucky you're so insensitive to noise really

I talk a lot in my sleep sometimes and don't really have any problems. I'm really sensitive to noise but once I'm asleep I don't even hear alarms because they just get subsumed into my dream state and become part of the dream making it almost useless trying to get up sometimes. If I'm trying to get to sleep and restless sometimes my girlfriend will snore a tiny bit and I will stroke her hair or cheek which makes her move and stop snoring immediately and go back to sleep which is pretty harmless. Sometimes it does wake her but this isn't a daily thing.

So sleep position definitely has something to do with it, she only snores while on her back which I've read is pretty common.

Solution really is to stop complaining and wear earplugs or headphones. Unfortunately I have a deviated septum and so if one of my nostrils is blocked I can't breathe through my nose, otherwise I probably wouldn't snore at all (I do sometimes but never hear it).

I was a terrible loud snorer. My solution was to lose 5 stone.

I hear losing weight helps. Not really sure how, though. What's the science?

Probably similar reasons to sleep apnea I guess. I lost the weight for unrelated reasons.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

My wife silently falls asleep and then goes on to sleep silently. I praise the lord for this blessing every day.

I snore sometimes, usually if I've been drinking.

Busy weekend with the kids! As expected my youngest got cold feet as the evening went on so they didn't sleep over (it was our first time trying a sleepover since I moved out). I was disappointed but, obviously, didn't show it as it's still all a bit new to my babies. They both definitely want to stay next Friday. We'll see how it goes. At least I'm seeing them as regular as I like so that's good.

The ex and I continue to maintain a good relationship with lots of communication.

I went to Broadgreen Hospital sleep clinic for a test, 2nd loudest recorded snorer they'd ever had :slol:

CPAP would be used for sleep apnea which sorted out the snoring but even after 3+ years of using it it was horrible as strawberry float wearing that face mask each night. No longer needed seeing as I'm a skinny banana split these days.

she jibbed him off after a couple of months because hes a psycho and hes been turning up at her work ranting and raving and crying and all that gooseberry fool

anyway had him on the phone this morning threatening me

asking if Im trying to get back with her and he knows where I am, its not a threat but I dont want trouble with him - Im like dude that sounds like a threat and hes just like well take that how you want it

I laughed at him and told him to strawberry float off

now hes calling me on a loop, pure sadact

its funny actually, she gave him her old phone a couple of months ago and then he went nuts on her and I had to break into his icloud and remotely wipe the phone

I told her I can disable the phone completely and he wont have any recourse but she asked me not to

then she texted me literally last night telling me that he managed to sync her old numbers onto his contacts and I joked that no doubt the exes will be getting calls asking for dating advice for how to get her back

less than 12 hours later hes on the bell to me - what a tragic dickhead

I think I can block him, though Im on ios, Im curious to see where hes going with his threats

aww mate, you moved away from your Experia! for shame.

Yeah you will still be able to block the numbers. I think I'd be a bit like that, annoying as heck but actually a bit entertaining.

I mean if you got into the iCloud account before you could just wipe the thing

Real advice: Block and ignore

Fun advice: Change your number in his contacts so next time he tries ringing you it'll go to the non-emergency police line

EDIT: Or a premium rate phone number!
