Anyone use a rental service?

Found this place https://www.boomerangrentals.co.uk/

It seems like quite a good idea especially for switch where games are pretty pricey, what are people’s thoughts?

Boomerang is the one that gets mentioned a lot, I've seen people here and other forums using it

Ahh cool, their trustpilot reviews seemed good and 9.99 a month for 1 game seems reasonable when a game is going to set you back 40 or 50 quid.

First off the bat: they had security issues (leaked card details) which many people believe stemmed from Boomerang. Boomerang never admitted to it. I used them for years and never had a issue with my card details.

They're very good at getting big games out on time, and there are many different tiers you can subscribe to. It's also easy to swap mid-sub. There are also things like bonus points which can be put toward free rentals or money off buying ex-rental games. They've been promising other features for as long as I can remember, but those never seem to leave the planning stage, but what's there is acceptable.
Between 18-08-2014 and 09-07-2018, I saved £5,068.

Tip: do not return your game via post box - always get a receipt at the Post Office counter.

That’s, 2015 is log enough ago they probably sorted their gooseberry fool. For the other thread I get strawberry floated off when people bump old threads, but I’ll give it a read.

I've used them on and off for years. Recently rejoined on the 2 at a time bundle for 15.99

They have all formats and send things quicky. I currently have Team Sonic Racing and Innocent: A Plague Tale for Xbox off then. Got Rage 2 on release day and Mortal Kombat 11. No problems receiving or returning games as of yet.

I've been a Boomerang customer for about 5 years and they are indeed great.
I've saved no end of money on games I kind of wanted to play but wasn't sure about.

I still buy games as the selection isn't 100% all games but they have enough of the big releases to keep me happy.

It's well worth a punt.

Yeah I still think I’ll buy games I really “want” to play like right away or stuff I’ll want to replay.

I may even rent the game then buy it if I enjoy it and want have a copy for playing whenever.

Mostly I’m going to treat it like game pass and use it to try stuff I would otherwise consider and that.
