It just goes to show just how solid UK politics is that Scotland can be granted a referendum on leaving the union and while it was a passionate debate the thought of violence or war was never in question.
The idea of US states being given the same opportunity with the same level of friendship still being shown the party leaving is unthinkable which just seems sad.

Four and a half years ago Ukraine was hosting the final of Euro 2012. It just shows how quickly a country can be ruined.

I'm amazed Trump's twitter account hasn't been hacked by now, he seems a prime candidate for a phishing scam.

I've had a bit of a read but other than a review of current cyber security arrangements I've no idea what the hell it's even saying.

Other than that Donald Trump thinks cyberspace (sorry, the "Cyber Realm" as he calls it) is a physical, tangible place.

Scrape the constitution and become a dictatorship?

They're not even just holding people either, they're actively deporting people who are covered by the court orders and should be granted entry :dread:

Oh, did anyone read that Trump and May were holding hands because Trump is scared of slopes and needed to be comforted through the ordeal of a slight incline.

Yeah I read that. I have read about it before but I'm not sure that it was steep enough for him to need the support though. But it does sound like he has a problem.

Every moderate American should go buy a gun now, because there is a resurgent fascist element in their country and they are certainly heavily armed. Ultimately, however, it's the military that decides how things go once democratic control breaks down. I've seen it time and time again when countries have a constitutional crisis.

IMO, the Democrats need to get a decorated military veteran running as favourite for 2020 now so they are well placed to handle events if they break down before then. They need to pick a potential leader to succeed the current administration that the armed forces can really get behind, just in case the the worse comes to pass.

Some people reading this might think I am being melodramatic. Those people were not paying attention in history.

I don't think it matters. If it came to open warfare, whatever side was backed by the army would win. Especially the US army.

Putin would be angry if anyone hacked Trumps phone so why would anyone want that?
