The more we learn about Trump the more it's becomes obvious what a complete an utter banana split he is.
How his past dealings with suppliers who he regularly screwed (somehow being an arsehole in business is seen as a good thing in the US no matter how many families are left destitute in his wake) and just refused to pay didn't disqualify him from running for political office I'll never know but it seems some people think having someone who would make Del Boy look like a safe pair of hands is a good choice for President.

I'd honestly hope that if someone who acted like him and had a history of even managing to fail as a casino owner turned up in the UK and tried to become a party leader we'd see sense and tell them to strawberry float right off.

I don't even have that much opposition to conservative dogma as a whole as the idea of low spending and taxes (ok I'd argue about who has to pay those taxes) is fine but Trumpism is not about that and US conservatives have sold their soul to this fucknugget and I hope he goes down in flames and takes all the arse kissers like Hannity with him.

I didn't post that to be shocking. I posted it as just my thoughts that Trump has managed to be even worse at the job by the day.

Basically a lot of the GOP don't like Trump because he offends their principles. However, their is not a single principle held by most Republicans that they will not abandon in favour of money. If they think they can use Trump to further enrich themselves and their donors then they will overlook everything else.

You'd think they would see that this is not very smart, but I don't think most normal people can fully comprehend the scale of the greed these kind of people have. It's "wealth addiction". Congress is full of life long wealth addicts. Wealth functions just like any other source of pleasure that it gives you a high. The more you you experience the high the more you need to keep experiencing it. This is why billionaires will keeping working all hours just to make more money they don't need. They actually do need it; in the same way that a heroin addict needs their next score. Asking them why they don't just stop and enjoy what they have is like asking drug addict why they don't just quit.

The difference is that a heroin addict isn't nearly as dangerous to the rest of society as a wealth addict.

But the more wealth they amass the more money they'll give to everyone else and we'll all be better off - honest! They won't hoard it and pass it down to their family while the wealth gap between rich and poor increases, no way... Let's just give the rich all the money, there'll be no negative consequences!
