It's incredible the difference between the US and the rest of "western civilisation".
The odd thing is conservatives honestly feel they are the real and only guardians of America and American values.
They think liberals are all traitors and mentally ill and want to destroy America. It's honestly interesting to watch them try and argue that they know exactly what the founders wanted despite them being dead for centuries and how only they have the solutions to today's problems.
They are seemingly unable to work out how democracy works (a lot of them don't even think the US is a democracy they say it's a republic) and that because they aren't in power at all times somehow that proves the US is broken and needs fixing with many almost hoping for a civil war.
