Run The Jewels rapper Killer Mike has spoken out against anti-gun activists following the March For Our Lives rally in Washington.

In an interview with the National Rifle Association he accused those wanting to change gun laws of being "the lackey" (obeying someone else's orders).

His comments have caused a backlash on social media, with people criticising his decision to speak to the NRA.

He's defended himself on Twitter.

Celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande have shown their support for anti-gun activist in America.

They all delivered passionate performances at the March For Our Lives rally in Washington, which took place after 17 people were killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida last month.

Since then, students have been leading a political movement to end school shootings in America.
Support for gun control is highest among 18 to 29-year-olds, a study by the Pew Research Centre says. There was a spike after the Orlando nightclub shooting in 2016.

But Run The Jewels rapper Killer Mike has different views.

In a video posted by NRATV he describes himself as "very pro-second amendment" (the right to own guns written in the US Constitution).

There are nearly as many guns as people in the USA - around 90 for every 100 people.

During the interview, Killer Mike criticises those who think they are "woke" to the cause for tighter gun control in America, saying: "You're a lackey of the progressive movement, because you've never disagreed with the people who tell you what to do."

"In Wakanda, everyone had guns."

He also says he actively discouraged his children from taking part in the national student walkouts against gun violence.

"I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you, (but) if you walk out that school, walk out my house," he said.

He's spoken out in support of gun ownership before and defended himself following this most recent interview with the NRA.

Unbelievable.

I’m a big RTJ fan but that’s some retarded bullshit.

Parody. (Because surely instead of subpar, which I doubt is in his vocab, he'd just call it a fake/failure/gooseberry fool dolphin.)

"I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you, (abut) if you walk out that school, walk out my house,"

That quote just really annoys me as a parent. I debate politics, religion and well everything with my daughter, we agree on lots of stuff but disagree on plenty as well and if she wanted to protest something at school I'd have her back and support her right to do so regardless of if I agree or not. Seems like he just wants little robot versions of himself. I find that rather sad.

That makes sense.

And yet I also still think it’s real. ;)

It's the bit where he mixes up Cartoon Network and CNN that I liked.

Can’t fault the US government here.

Makes May seem strong too, as she apparently spent a very long time speaking to world leaders in person and over the phone convincing them of the evidence according to Sky News.

Trump doesn't act against Russia unless there is something more pressing going down involving himself - in this case, his brand is under direct assault by Daniels.

I don’t think that’s ever been the case. Even if it looks 99.9% likely it was Russia, any other criminal offence or whatever would be expected to be proven without doubt. It wasn’t that long ago the government took us in to an illegal war which has completely strawberry floated the Middle East as well as Europe/the EU and something which will continue to affect these areas for a long time in to the future.

Now other countries have came out in response to the attack however I would expect most people on the fence would accept it

At first, I don't think Corbyn was privy to any evidence that proved the nerve agent came from Russia which is why he said it was likely but refused to say it definitely came from there. France were in the same boat, but since then both Corbyn and France have made clear the evidence now points to Russia.

Corbyn's current 'mistake' according to the media is that he won't point the finger directly at Putin. As likely as that may be, you still need to have evidence to back up those sort of claims before you point fingers.
