It took me ages and many retries to beat the final form of Nemesis on Infernio difficulty.

When it was done, I’ve never felt so relieved.

Hard? More like cheap. The key is to time your dodges.

This happened to me when I ran through Inferno mode, after about 40 tries. It's the closest I've come to genuinely crying at a game for some time.

Just finished this. Really, really enjoyed it. Maybe I am not tarnished by the memories of old, but played this for the first time and loved it as the remake.

Yes it’s a bit basic. Yes it’s linear, but it does a brilliant job of making it fun. Although some of the deaths are a bit cheap.

Looks incredible too.

Started this after getting it cheap.

It’s a bit poor?

The controls don’t work well as the action game it wants to be and Nemesis is gooseberry fool. Turning up for scripted events and then you escape by closing a shutter when he bursts through walls, floors, trucks etc when in his events...

It’s not poor.

Can’t say I ever had a problem with the controls and it’s not exactly an out and out action game, nor is it really trying to be.

Nemesis I was a bit indifferent to on my first few play throughs but once you get over the fact it’s not RE2 and he’s not Mr X, the interactions with him are pretty fun especially when you realise there are bonuses for facing up to him. His boss fights are all pretty great to, as long as you don’t play them on harder difficulties when they just become pure bullshit.

Really? I hated the boss fights. The controls aren’t good enough for it.

I’m not brill at dodging though.

Did it 4-5 hours on standard (plus deaths/replays). Wasn’t overly impressed and the plot seemed gooseberry fool (and changed from the original?)

Feel like DLC for RE2 at best

There's long been a rumour that Code Veronica was originally intended to be the real Resident Evil 3 and Nemesis just a side story but Sony threw money at Capcom.

Compared to the first person boss fights I'm 7&8 the ones in 2&3 are a dream. Though Nemesis in the pit has some weird camera bollocks.

Watched a few guides and they give you grenades before you face him. Roll one at him for supply cases with G13 upgrades.

I think the Platinum is out of reach for me as I cannot get close to S rank on Factory 2 for Mercenaries. Is there any way to cheese it?

Some set up an iPad and YouTube a walthrough and follow it exactly, by pausing and all that bobbins.

I’ve put this game aside for a while as it’s very rage inducing.

Been playing this over the weekend, it’s actually better than what I was lead to believe going by the reactions to it. One thing I would say though is that it’s very short, I’ve got about a quarter of the game to go already apparently.

What is there is very good. The reaction was mainly around it being so short but you can get it cheap now so it's well worth picking up.
