Steam key is finally available from CDKeys (After a solid week of checking daily :fp: ) now just the wait for pre-loading it :toot:

New CPU/Motherboard is coming Saturday though and I can't see myself having the power to put off playing it till I switch over to the new CPU/Mobo :x

Still waiting for my Xbox code from CDKeys. 45GB download too, so I’d like to get it started ASAP.

Once they’ve already grabbed you, you’re going to get bitten. Mashing A will reduce the damage.

Same as with Doom Eternal, if you buy this on the Microsoft Store (Xbox or PC), go to the Rewards app and you can get 6000 points - enough to immediately get a £5 Xbox credit.

Been playing it since 8pm and I’m gonna call it a night cos my eyes hurt. It is very much alike REmake 2 but it’s also feels somewhat radically different to the original in terms of pacing, level
design and exploration.

Game clearly has taken some inspiration from 6, not in a bad way or anything but it is definitely action heavy and far less scarier than 2.

Also the linearity means that path plotting gets contained to small sections at a time rather than a sweep through a series of tasks like in remake 1&2, which is a shame as those are my favourite parts of the games.

Obviously not finished it but it is still a good game, I just hope this is as extreme as the series goes because it’d be a shame to see it relapse into bad habits.
Also Nemisis is way better in the original, it’s not going to be up for debate for very long. Mr X was a better Nemisis than this.

And still no code. Didn’t want to play the stupid game anyway.

EDIT: Got it now. I figured they might release it at midnight on one of the US time zones, so held off contacting support.

With Doom, it even worked if you bought the download code from CDKeys, so you save £5 on the game and get £5 back. Hopefully the same for this.

Been playing since 5am and I feel like I'm in the final third of the game. So roughly same length as Resi 2 but quicker to finish on your first playthrough. Not that length bothers me. So far I'd say that 2 is the better survival horror experience but this is great fun in its own right.

Whereas I think Resi 2 remake surpassed the original, for me, I don't think this is better than the original Resi 3.

But these are first impressions and I've not even finished it yet!

I was thinking the same. Wasn't sure if I was being overly critical but having reached a certain point of the game, it's clear Mr X was better. I think Nemesis vs Mr X is a pretty good analogy for comparing the two games in general. One is an action packed adventure, the other is a creeping survival horror.

Just played the opening section before the kids woke up and it’s fairly obvious that it’s much more action pacing game than RE2.

Just reached the demo section, that intro to Nemesis was top notch during the opening section.

I didn’t touch the multiplayer during the beta. Anyone tried it?

Just realised: for the first time ever, I've got all the main numbered RE games, plus the two Revelations, installed on one console.

I had a brief go of the multiplayer beta (as in 1 go) worked well and wasn’t bad. Can’t seem to see it in game menu though is it a separate download?

For a big launch game with loads ‘working from home’ the threads very quiet
