Didn't notice any tearing on the 360 version at all - I did notice I had no fun playing it at all :|

Is there a PC version?

Does it still tear if you run it in 720p?

I don't know, I'm judging from that Clueless Gamer thing on Conan. Might have been fixed.

Playing the PS3 demo.

Can't see a strawberry floating thing :fp: Way too dark.

Also, Headshots mean sweet fa if they aren't in a cutscene :fp: :fp:

Just done the Leon part of the demo and a few things I've noticed from the PS3 version,

1) It is way too dark. Turning the in-game brightness up to maximum helps, but not a great deal. Unless you're literally next to a bright light source like a vending machine, you can't see anything. I was literally tripping over zombies that were laying dormant on the floor. And if a zombie was crawling along the ground? No chance of hitting it. I may hook the PS3 into my laptop later and see if I can get a screenshot to show what I mean.
Is the lighting any better in the 360 version or just as bad?

2) 3 Headshots to kill a zombie. :fp: It's not like headshots are easy to get either. Everytime you get one lined up, Helena shoots the damn thing and knocks it stumbling so you have to line up all over again. This wouldn't be so bad if her attacks seemed to actually do anything, but I don't think she actually killed a single zombie through gunfire during the entire demo. She only killed one at all by headstomping it. Her gun attacks seemed next to useless however, I'm honestly not sure if they're doing any damage at all.

3) The health system is crap. What's all this health tablet thing? First of all I pick up a herb, but I can't actually use it until I go into the inventory and put the herb into my tablet case. Combing Red and Green herbs gives me 5-6 tablets whilst a single Green herb only gives me 1 tablet. Also, a tablet will restore 1 unit of health, whilst any attack also seems to take only 1 unit of health. It seems that the health system has just been made as simple and idiot proof as possible and it's a big step backward.

4) No pause functionality. Frankly, this is inexcusable in any game that isn't an MMO. Fair enough don't have the inventory menu pause the game, but to not have the ability to press start and pause the game at all? I haven't seen that since Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast. I'm sure the justification for this is for the whole open online co-op etc etc. But if I'm playing single player/offline, why the hell can't I pause the game? What if the phone rings (mine did during the sequence where the zombies were all smashing in through the windows :fp: ) or there's a knock at the door or I want to go to the toilet? Even opening the XMB doesn't pause things.

One improvement from Resident Evil 5 though is that it seems I don't have to manage the ammuniation/weapons/health etc of the partner. Thank god.

At the end of the Leon section he didn't seem too startled by the zombie sticking its head through the window yet still rolled the car. Why not just punch in the face?

Or even just hit the brakes so it flies off.

I also have no idea why, at the very beginning, he tries reasoning with the zombified president. Leon should know better than almost anyone that once someone is that far gone you can't reason with them. He should have fired immediately.

Exactly what I thought.

C'mon, Leon, you've been been through this. :fp:

This is why I'm not a fan, it's stupid things like this that are just ruining the series.

If the entire game was like Leon's section, it wouldn't be too bad. But Chris' is just dire.

OoOooOoOoOo shooty shooty bang bang.

Pay attention game devs (that's all of you, not just Capcom):

The day you can get what I'm saying into your thick little squirrel minds the better.
No matter how much you want to attract the c.o.d crowd, you will never ever & I mean ever get those sales or that crowd.
Stop ruining your franchises & maybe try to do something different.
It's not rocket science.

This is complete garbage. Utter dross.

Leon's section was ok, but the other two are just utterly, utterly terrible.

Capcom without Mikami, Kamiya and Inafune does not make me happy.

AA and MH games aside :shifty:

Remember being so excited about the future of this series after playing REmake, how could they strawberry float it up so badly :fp:

They've tried to cram too much in and it's become a complete mess. Why every campaign needs a different looking HUD/inventory I have no idea.

That's far from the worst part about Chris' section.

It was when [is]the Giant emerged[/is] that I thought "Yeah, this is getting silly now"

I wouldn't worry, today's clueless Japanese designers haven't gotten their filthy mitts on it so it should be pretty good.

Looking forward to TGS just to see how much more wank Japanese games can get :fp:

Yeah, it was just yet another version of Resi 4's El Gigante really.
