3rd Lord down for me too. Enjoyed that route a lot, good mix of environments and interesting challenges.

Cleared everything in the village bar the grave locked from the other side. No idea if I've missed something but have seen no way to approach that. Think I know the treasure it's going to contain too as I've got everything bar one thing.

Got started on the 4th route and it's already a great variation on the other 3.

I have done at some point, not after the most recent pass. I believe there's a couple of those though. I do think there's stuff I haven't checked off the map but I haven't seen any route back to it. Everything I've been able to keep track of though I've done.

Ok, so I had not done that, well worth it though for a host of reasons. Think I would have got it on my next pass but thanks!

Space management it now critical though

The movement are a lot bloody better than RE7.

Massive spoilers. DO NOT READ IT UNTIL YOU FINISH THE CASTLE.

I pretty much called it with the vampires. They aren’t vampires at all but a product of a biohazard, in form of parasites (in the game case’s flies.)

And Ethan Winters himself is such a resilient human being. He’ve had his fingers chomped off, hung by hooks though his hands and force himself to slice through the hooks by pulling away from them, had his right hand sliced off (and magically attached and fully functioned by applying some of that magic first aid liquid. What a guy!

And I saw the Umbrella symbol.

So far so good.

Did you play 7? Ethan is infected with the mold virus, which is why he can take so much damage and reattach limbs. I think there was a file in 7 that explained how the mold is encouraged to heal and grow by whatever chemical is in the first aid medicine.

I did play the game, but I somehow missed that as I wasn’t really pay any attention to the story halfway or missed the files that mentioned that.

Just got to the end of Ethan. Didn't see that coming.

EDIT: Woah this went off at the deep end. strawberry floating hell.

On what I assume is the final boss at just over nine hours of play. Should probably sleep though.

I really hope the Resi 4 remake is done in this style. That would be amazing.

And finished. I think, like with all of the games in the series, the story is going to make less sense the more you think about it, but I really enjoyed that. An excellent game.

EDIT: There's a tag at the end of the credits. Don't look at the voice cast or it'll spoil what it is.

Just beat big vampire lady and got out of the castle. Sniper rifle was absolutely a life saver in that fight. Still some red rooms on the map there so not sure if there might be stuff I have to get later, or just stuff I completely missed despite a lot of looking around for anything I could. I'm playing completely blind though so not following a guide to get all the items (Though admittedly I did have to refer to a walkthrough for the puzzle involving turning the statues to drain the pool of blood. And almost had to consult one for the bell puzzle to find that last bloody bell that was outside.

Also have to admit I'm playing on Casual difficulty, because I'd never beat the game otherwise :slol:

I went through on standard at first because I wanted to enjoy the story Laga, and found it eminently winnable. Few stupid, avoidable deaths but otherwise very doable. I dread to think what Village of Shadows is gonna be like though so I intend to be tooled the strawberry float up before I go into that.

I’m missing 1 fish.

Cleared the 4th area, loved that and the change of pace it offers. Been sent on my way again and made it to the next place. Looks fantastic when you come up through the scripted sequence to the save point with The Duke. Probably one or two more sessions left I think and it feels like a good length, I’ve been taking it very slow so am at around the 11 hour mark. I like the back tracking and little optional areas they give you to explore, it all feels part of the world and makes everything feel connected, even though it isn’t really. Plus it pads the game out with a few more hours of gameplay which it does feel like it needs.

I wait to see if there’s another opportunity to go back and grab stuff because there’s still one of those ball puzzles I’ve not done and can’t think where I’m missing a piece to do it.

Regardless of how this ends I’d say it’s already done enough to be a healthy improvement over 7.

Playing in broad daylight with only one headphone in and the 2nd Area still managed to give me chest pains.

The cat pawwed my arm at some point and sent me into coniptions.

Yeah but that doesn't take into account how much I completely and utterly suck at these games.

In the castle and enjoying this so far. I had a pretty funny moment where I said "oh gooseberry fool" out loud at the exact same time as Ethan when I opened a door and Lady Dimitrescu was on the other side

I wish this was playable in VR like 7 though, the Baker House was so good using VR and I imagine you'd get similar vibes going through the castle.

Have you turned up the Movement Camera Sensitivity With Mouse and Aiming Camera Sensitivity With Mouse options as well the base mouse sensitivity option? I've played through nearly the entire game with M&K and it's felt good to me after cranking all of them up.

Played this since breakfast, completed second and third boss. Hated second area, not my style of gameplay really but it was very effective. Third area and boss was a bit better.

Heading to 4th area via the village now.

I'm enjoying the game a lot. It makes me want to keep playing.

Wish my image sig would work
