Resident Evil: Village But With Big Booby Vampire Ladies

Starting the story again on the hard difficulty and the plot holes are already so bad.

Why does Miranda Mia give the baby to Ethan while she goes and prepares dinner? Surely that was the perfect moment for her to tell Ethan to finish dinner so she could sneak off with the kid?

Started a hard playthrough this afternoon with the intention of finding the goats I missed along the way. Thought I'd try and do it as quickly as possible but I don't think I'll manage the speed run trophy. I just reached the windmill leading into the third area at about 1hr 48mins so not sure if the speed run is still doable. Running through some of the earlier areas I had to double back a couple of times because, through skipping all the cut scenes, I lost my bearings.

Also did everyone unlock "bookworm" on their first play? I must've missed a file or two so I think one day, when I want to play the game fresh again, I'll take another slow, exploration to find them and the outhouses. And the recipes.

I'll just get a couple more trophies with this second run but then I think I'll leave the others for a later date. I can't rinse the game again and again like some of you guys as I end up only playing for trophy's sake and it stops being fun.

I might actually go back and get a couple more trophies in R3make.

I didn’t get it on first run, but every file I missed was in Ethan’s house at the start of the game.

Just battered out a knife only run - 2hrs 20, nice and easy.

Every time I look at this thread you've done another run.

He did another one whilst you were typing that.

I did five runs and it’s all over. At least I have the PS4 version to do but I think I’ll leave that version until next year or so as got the Mass Effect trilogy preordered, ready for Friday.

Knife only? Even for bosses? Cripes.

Struggling a lot on this Hardcore playthrough. Finding the castle quite frustrating tbh. Maybe I just need the route down, look at some guides possible.

Also took me several goes even to unlock the next stage in Mercenaries, I feel like there’s some trick I’m missing beyond git gud.

Just done the fish man boss. How much do I have to go? Surprised how short that and the doll house bit were compared to the castle, is the next bit shorter too?

Three distinct sections left for you, two shorter than the castle, one about comparable in length.

3 areas.

Shorter combat section
Longer section mix of combat and explore - near but not quite castle length
Suprise - probably shorter than 2nd area.

There's also chance now to explore/see what you've missed in village including a couple of optional areas, so you could have a fair bit there.

Watched Alex’s DF video and he’s basically saying the Series x is almost a match for the PC version at its high settings… in fact his recommended settings for PC is more or less what it looks like on SX. Must be a poor PC port.

Aren’t Capcom always that stingy when it comes to PC ports? I remember that the PC version of RE4 was piss poor.

Just tried to kill the big bloke in the first village encounter but he didn't go down.

I think I'm going to start playing Village of Shadows but take it slowly and hopefully I can find all the weapon mods, outhouses and recipes along the way.

Also I feel now is the time to admit I've always disliked Mia.

Infinite ammo magnum and spam him with bullets, is the way to go there.

How do you get the magnum before meeting The Duke? I'm struggling like hell already with Village of Shadows. Even with the inf ammo shotgun, this siege is destroying me. I can't wait to find The Duke and get tooled up.

How scary is this game?

I couldn’t get very far into RE7 at all and struggle with anything close to suspense / chase (e,g. Outlast 1/2, Evil Within’s prologue) but I’m fine with games like The Medium and Until Dawn for example.

Also, Is RE8 first person or 3rd?

It's first person. There are some scary moments, one section in particular might break you, but overall it's more action heavy than scary.

I think I am going to go for the platinum on this before I move onto another game. I might even go back to 7 or 3 to finish off their trophies once I'm done. I definitely feel like having another blast through 3 at least.
