There's just no way I can play that alone, my wife will have to sit with me and watch the game on the tv at the same time or something.

The thing I found with Resi 7 is, about half way through you are so used to being terrified that it gets less and less so by the end I was fine, maybe grossed out by some things but not scared as such. Alien Isolation remains the scariest game I've ever played as I was cacking it all the way till the end. Both would be full on Terrifying in VR. :dread:

I think the opening section is scariest by design, but yeah the rest of the game (from what I played) does get easier to deal with as you get used to it.

Resi 7 becomes a bit less scary when you realise how easy to manipulate the enemies are. Those mould guys are pretty dumb for a start and simply can't enter certain areas, in fact if you walk far enough past certain rooms they can despawn entirely.

I tried to go dark on this and immediately strawberry floating failed. I am HYPE.

I'm getting a new merchant vibe from that character. I'm probably wrong but here's hoping. "Merchant" is the secret best character in the franchise.

I dunno if I'm the only person seeing Peter Stormare's face in that character but I'll be gutted if he's not voicing him. :lol:

Stormare is a complete hero and loves making a few quid doing video game VO’s. Fingers crossed.

I thought it sounded like Jared Leto.
